May 25, 2000 I had bad dreams all night last night. All I could dream about were those days and nights that I had no place to go and nothing to eat. Sandy woke up to me just looking at her. I wanted so much for her to wake up and touch me...but I was afraid of making her mad. So I sat there and watched her until she woke up. When she woke up, she reached out and started petting me! I put my front paws on the bed and she hugged me real tight. It felt so good! She took me outside and said something about 'potty'. (Whatever that means) I just walked around for awhile and then we went back in. As soon as I came in I left her a nice surprise on the living room rug. I thought she would get mad, but she didn't. She just said 'potty' (there's that word again), and cleaned it up. Then we went into the kitchen (this is going to be my favorite room I think!), and she gave Samson and I something to eat. I didn't even chew my food again, what if I don't get anymore? After I ate mine, I asked Samson for some of his, but he said "No". Sandy left for awhile. I was so afraid she would never come back. She's the one who feeds me! But she did come back and had presents for me! She bought me some flea stuff, a dish to eat out of, a big bag of food and a thing she called a 'necklace'. (I don't like the necklace...I try to bite it off) Then Sandy took me in the car to see the 'doctor'. I was excited at first, until I smelled the place! I refused to walk after she put that leash on me. She had to carry me everywhere! The man was nice until he got this thing out and stuck me. OUCH that hurt! I heard him tell Sandy to bring me back in 4 weeks for another. I sure hope she forgets! The doctor told her that I was about 3-4 months old, in very good health for a stray. He said part chow and possibly lab or collie mix. Sandy was worried that I might grow up to be mean like some chows...but I won't! They are so good to me...I will be their best friend..just wait and see! Later we got to eat....again! All this food! I ate and ate. And afterwards I played with Samson some more and did some exploring. Samson is showing me alot! It's nice having a big brother. He has alot of toys and said I could play with them. I am learning alot. Let me see......
Sandy still says that word 'potty' when I go outside. I wish I knew what she was talking about! I also saw something very strange. It's black like me...very small....and hisses at me. Wonder what it is? |
