This is my diary of my new life. I will only have a couple of days on each page to keep it short. Just hit the 'Next' button to continue through. As I grow and learn new things, I will probably post daily. So please come back!

After the lady picked me up, we went to her house. It was so strange, being inside and having people wanting to touch me. There are other dogs here too.I was really afraid at first, but these people were being so nice to me. The one who picked me up, they call her Sandy, even got me something to eat. I was so hungry that I didn't even chew it, I just ate and ate. Sandy and the one they call Birdie started to cry because I was so hungry. Sandy got me more food and I ate all of it.

There are 3 dogs here, cocker spaniels I'm told. Samson, he is the one who lives here and is my new brother. Two others, Blackie and Reno, are Samson's brothers and come to visit everyday. Blackie and Reno growl at me when I try to talk to them. But Samson! We played and played! It felt so good to run and play again!

And I have a mommy again! She is Sandy's grandmother and she's 87 and very sick. I knew right away that she would be my mommy now. I went up to her and layed my head on her lap and licked her hand all over! It was wonderful to hear a human laugh around me again!

After I ate we settled down from playing, Sandy took me into this tiny room and stuck me in a tub of water. YUCK! I hated it! I nearly clawed Sandy to pieces trying to get out. She was talking real nice to me and telling me that I had to have a bath. I'm not so sure I'm going to like it here if I have to have many more of those! She even made Samson take one too! After she dried me off some, I laid down and slept. I felt safe although I still don't know these people real well. I wonder how long I can stay here?

Later that night, Sandy put me in her car and took me to her friends' house. Her name is Ann and she has a little dog named Baby. Baby was nice but wouldn't play with me. She is older and can't play. But she was very nice to me. She let me eat some of her food and chew on a bone that she had. I like going to Ann's, I hope I can go again someday!

After we came home, Sandy put a thick, warm quilt on the floor beside her bed. She told me I could sleep there! And did I ever sleep! I didn't have to find a place outside tonight. My belly was full, I had all the water I could hold and a soft, warm place to sleep.

I think I'm going to like it here....I hope they let me stay!
