Redclyffe It all began in 1983 when a pair of Papillons were brought into the family as a consolation when our newly found stray kitten passed away. Since then, Papillons have always been part of our family although we also have other breeds like Norwegian Elkhounds and Chinese Shar Peis sharing our home. Our first pair of Papillons were descended from the English Dalcia lines and from there, we further recruited Ch Ringlands Myra, a pretty little dog with some of the best old Ringlands bloodlines. A few years later, we brought in a dog from Mondelise Kennels, who, till today, can be claimed as the only unbeaten Papillon in the Singapore show ring. 'Carlton' carries a formidable pedigree, going back to the magnificent Caswell lines from England. Over the years, a few other Papillons joined our little family and we take great pleasure in showing them, and at the same time, have the honour of having them as ambassadors of their respective kennels in our home. Over the turn of the century, we hope to renew our interest (although we are taking flight with our second breed for the show ring in 2001 after 17 years) and to start it off, we are happy to announce that we have two pending imports for the Year 2001, two boys from Australia respectively. We trust that with the additions of two capable stud dogs in our Papillon fratenity, there is more scope for improvement for the breed as well as having the awareness of breeding and presenting the Papillon correctly.

We have NEVER sold our imported dogs to anybody else nor have we bred any of the lovely girls entrusted to us unless agreed upon by the breeder. Our official breeding and litter inspection records shows it all. |

Our Limited Breeding Program Over the past seventeen years, we have only bred four litters as we share the philosophy of our mentor, who never fail to remind us "to breed only when you have capacity to keep or you want a puppy to show'. Bearing that in mind, most of our few puppies were either sharing our little home with us, or two made it abroad and finished their titles. Although we do not breed extensively, we are very careful in ensuring our dogs are free from PRA, anatomical faults like patella luxation and all other hereditary diseases. Sound temperament is an essential aspect in our breeding program as well as free from fleckings and mismarkings. We do not usually have puppies available but we do have a little temptation to breed a small litter in 2001. That would be, we reckon, six years since we had our previous litter!
