Rebel Capital Ship Cards
The Dreadnaught is an ancient heavy cruiser that dates from the time of the Old Republic. The Alliance has refit many of these ancient vessels with automated controls and faster sublight engines. Many of these became what are known as Rebel Assault Frigates.
Alliance Medium
Transports (Replaces Bulk
Cruiser)
Bulk Cruisers, Modular transports, HT-2200 transports, Heavy Lifters, Cargo Ferrys, Bulk Frieghters, and Gallofree transports are the ships that make up Alliance Medium Transport fleets. Each medium transport can (on average) carry 2 regiments. These transports have moderate speed and are armed with laser turrets to defend against fighter craft.
Stock Light Transports (Replaces Medium Transport)
Stock Light Transports are the smallest space transports used by the Alliance. The amount of cargo these ships carry is negligible. Instead, they are used to transport individual rebel agents to their destinations quickly and covertly. Heavily modified YT-1300, YT-2000, YT-2400, Firespray, and Muurian Transports are often used. Effective against starfighters.
The bulk transport is the life blood of intergalactic trade and commerce. The extensive cargo capacity of the transport makes it ideal for moving everything from loads of juri juice to regiments of troops.
Alliance escort carriers serve a similar purpose to their Imperial counterparts. Escort carriers are capable of carrying and refueling wings of starfighters and dramatically increase the starfighter capacity of the fleet to which they are attached. Alliance carriers have moderately better shielding and double the firepower of their Imperial counterparts but carry one less starfighter squadron.
A mid-sized capital ship constructed in the Corellian shipyards, the Corvette has had a long history of service. At 150 meters long and carrying a reasonable complement of shielding and armament, it can function as a transport, or support warship. The modified Corellian Corvette has more firepower and speed than the stock Corellian Corvette.
The Corellian Gunship was designed to be two things, fast and deadly. Engines fill more than half of its interior structure while the external hull mounts a large number of turbolaser batteries, and quad laser cannons making it an ideal anti-starfighter platform.
The Nebulon-B frigate is was designed as a close support vessel for use against starfighters and medium sized capital ships. The Modified Nebulon-B frigate has more firepower and is slightly faster than the original Nebulon-B frigate.
The Mon Calamari Star cruisers were originally spaceliners which were converted into military use. This 1,200-meter long cylindrical ship looks more organic than technological, but they are considered to be among the finest vessels traveling space. Built with many redundant systems, the Mon Cal cruiser is difficult to repair and service but extremely reliable in combat situations.
The G/2 Modified Strike Cruiser was created as a platform for a gravity well projector. Procurment costs for the gravity well projectors are high due to the fact that they must be taken from an existing Imperial Interdictor Cruiser!
The SoroSuub Liberator’s slender hull disguises the fact that it can carry three troop regiments and six fighter squadrons. For a capital ship, the Liberator is diminutive of size, but still finds room to host a formidable weapons complement consisting of ion cannons and heavy turbolaser batteries. Utilizing state-of-the-art hull armor, new shielding and drive unit technology, the Liberator is one of the most advanced warships in the galaxy.
The assault frigate is one of the Rebel Alliance's main front line warships. Built using the framework of Old Republic Dreadnaughts, Alliance engineers created a ship with greater speed and maneuverability while still retaining the Dreadnaught's weapon complement.
The CC-9600 Advanced Frigate is more compact, requires fewer crew members than earlier capital ships and is a pure combat vessel. The firepower and shielding of the CC-9600 are considerable, while allowing enough cargo space to accommodate two regiments of ground troops.
The Dauntless is the second largest cruiser in the Alliance fleet. Built from the hull of a luxury liner, it is armed to the teeth with numerous Ion Cannon and Turbolaser batteries, carries excellent sensor and countermeaure equipment, and carries 5 fighter squadrons inside it's massive hold.
The TransGalMeg Industries Bulwark class capital ship is a mobile fortress. It is one of the most battle-proof ships employed by the Rebel Alliance. Though plagued by rumors of unreliable electronics and sensors, the Bulwark's extensive arsenal, shielding and carrying capacity make it ideal for large scale operations.
