Empire capital ship cards

imperial Dreadnaught

The Dreadnaught is an ancient heavy cruiser that dates from the time of the Old Republic. Standard Imperial Dreadnaughts are basically the same as the original Old Republic Dreadnaughts except they now carry a hangar deck for a squadron of TIE fighters. Because of its relatively slow speed, the Imperial Dreadnaught primarily serves as a convoy escort or patrol ship.

imperial Medium Transports (Replaces Galleon)

Galleons, Modular Conveyers, Heavy Lifters, Bulk Frieghters, and Cargo Ferrys make up the medium Imperial transports. Each medium transport can (on average) carry 2 regiments. These transports have moderate speed and are armed with laser turrets to defend against fighter craft.

imperial Assault Transports (Replaces Assault Transport)

Assault class transports are designed to deliver Imperial agents anywhere in the galaxy quickly, with enough firepower to defend themselves adequatly. Assault Transport Shuttles, Combat Utility Vehicles, Stormtrooper Transports, Lambda Class Shuttles, and Escort Shuttles are used in this capacity.

imperial Heavy Transports (Replaces Star Galleon)

Imperial Heavy Transports such as Star Galleons, Airbus personnel transports, and Black Ice heavy cargo carriers are designed to combine the cargo space of a bulk freighter with the armament of a combat ship.

imperial Escort Carrier

Imperial escort carriers were designed to provide a hyperspace capable platform for entire wings of Imperial fighters. Escort carriers are lightly armed and slow, but can take more punishment and carry one more squadron of fighters than their Alliance counterpart.

Carrack Light Cruiser

The Carrack light cruiser is the fastest Imperial escort ship in the fleet. A modular hull design gives this cruiser a large hull value compared to it's relative size. This cruiser also has an external rack that carries 4 TIE recon fighters that triples the ship's sensor range.

Lancer Frigate

The Lancer frigate was designed specifically to combat Rebel fighters after only a few rebel squadrons managed to destroy the first Death Star. An excellent anti-starfighter screening vessel, although several problems (such as a high manufacturing cost and a lack of turbolasers to combat capital ships) are keeping it from being a total success.

victory Destroyer

The Victory Destroyer is an older star cruiser that proved to be an important part of the Imperial space fleet. This vessel was designed with planetary bombardment in mind. While a capable combat vessel, the Victory Star Destroyer can deliver accurate and devastating bombardments from orbit.

imperial Star Destroyer

Imperial-class Star Destroyers have enough firepower to reduce an entire world to slag or take on a fleet of smaller capital ships and win. An engineering nightmare, Imperial Star Destroyers are 1,600 meters long and have over 120 Turbolaser and Ion Cannons located on its wedge shaped surface.

interdictor Cruiser

This 600-meter long cruiser carries an artificial gravity-well generator and four gravity-well projectors that prevenst nearby starships from escaping into hyperspace. The well generator requires massive amounts of power which puts a strain on the ships systems, especially during combat.

victory 2 Star Destroyer

The Victory II Star Destroyer, an upgrade of the older Victory destroyer, didn't come into the production until after the clone wars had ended. The Victory II has additional Ion cannon batteries, a faster hyperdrive motivator, and twice the sublight speed of its predecessor (Thanks to the Hoersch-Kessel engines). A pure space combat vessel.

Strike Cruiser

Called the best kept secret in the fleet, a Loronar Strike Cruiser's fighting capabilities surprise many enemy commanders. Its modular design not only gives the ship a resilient hull, but it also lowers the manufacturing cost of the ship significantly.

imperial 2 Star Destroyer

The Imperial II Class Star Destroyer has a heavily reinforced hull, better shielding, and double the firepower of it's predecessor (although the ISD I has more Ion cannons).

Super Star Destroyer

The Super-class Star Destroyer is over 17 kilometers long, dwarfing even the massive Imperial Star Destroyers. Frequently used as a command vessel, the Super Star Destroyer is the most powerful conventional warship in the Imperial armada and can take on enire rebel fleets singlehanded and win.

The Death Star

An immense battle station 120-kilometers in diameter, the Death Star is the pinnacle of Imperial engineering. Designed by Chief Engineer Bevel Lemelisk, the Death Star is the ultimate symbol of rule by fear of force. It carries a crew of over 750,000 and enough firepower to destroy an entire system. The Death Star relies on its world destroying superlaser and vast numbers of turbolasers on its surface to defend against large scale attacks. Adequate starfighter coverage MUST be implemented to cover the thermal exhaust port along the equatorial trench from enemy starfighter attack.
