Welcome to my world!

Have you ever felt as though your heart was broken beyond repair? Or that no one in this world could possibly understand the pain and sorrow of a hollow heart? I have many times. Through painful situations I have learned to live by expressing my sadness in poems. I want to share some of those with you in the hope that you will find encouragement, strength and hope. You see you really aren't alone. Most of us have known rejection, and disappointment, but we keep striving to make this a better world just the same. It is with pain that we acquire
such wisdom, but with grace that we

THE HOLLOW HEART

Look out ore the meadow
with its fields so lush and green
see the lambs there feeding
so peaceful and serene.

Unaware of potential danger
that's silently lurking up ahead
too busy appeasing their own appeitites
to see the wolf who's aming to be fed.

We are all like lambs it seems
always looking for love's sweet stream
with its gentle waters of affection
to give our thirsty souls a drink.

Yet again we are different too
for patience rarely rules human hearts
rather we tend to rush into things
letting reason from us part.

Then comes the hard stuff
the lonely unending nights
for we throw caution to the wind
and let our emotions run wild.

We get caught up in the magic
at the first glimpse it seems
we think we can find lasting love
just as quick as a wink.

So when we are disappointed,
when our world's been torn apart
we are left once more, standing alone
with nought but a hollow heart.
