Installing a software on your Pocket PC is very easy.
However, a few considerations you ought to do first is whether the software is
compatible with the processor type and the operating system of your Pocket PC.
Connect your Pocket PC to the computer. Run the setup file or follow the instructions given by
the software vendor. Follow the prompts until the Application Manager screen
displays. Click the Storage Card option from the drop-down menu and
then click OK.

When the Application Manager displays, a prompt asks if the
application should be installed in the default location. If you wish to
install it on a storage card, Click No.
This will display the destination media screen.

NOTE:
Not all software applications can be installed on the storage card since some need to be installed on the main memory.
You need to ensure that the storage card is inserted
before running the software or else you will encounter an error message like
the one shown below.

The software will run a lot slower as compared to when it is installed on the main memory.
Installing on the card will create one folder in the
card's root directory for each software application. This might cause
a clutter if you have installed several applications. A work-around
would be to manually move them into a another folder after it is installed.
For Example: Create a Program Files folder on the storage card and then move
the entire directory of the software installed under this folder. Most
applications will run without any further changes. If it doesn't run,
you will need to move it back to the default path.
