Many synchronization issues are caused if you have
had information imported into Microsoft Outlook (File -> Import & Export). You might think how
is this possible after all they appear
correct in Microsoft Outlook. So the problem lies in ActiveSync,
which is unable to read the entries correctly.
File Format Synchronization Issues faced on the Pocket PC How to Solve it VCalendar (.vcs) All Calendar appointments move one day ahead and appear as all day events even if time is specified. See the information compiled on - Outlook & VCalendar (.vcs) Files VCard (.vcf) Information within some fields go missing in Contacts. The URL within Webpage Address field disappears upon synchronization. Option 1:
Instead of importing the .vcf file, open it using Outlook. Once it displays all the details in the Contact form, click Save and Close.
Option 2:
If the file is already imported, open the Contact information on the desktop and make an edit operation in the field that is missing. You can simply add a character and then do a back space. Save and Close. ActiveSync will detect a change and the field information should appear on your Pocket PC.
MS Access (*.mdb) An import operation from an .mdb file with Contacts information also fails to show the Webpage address information on the Pocket PC. This is irrespective of the field-type you might have in the access database. Refer to Option 2: explained above. Comma Seperated Values (*.csv) An import operation from an .csv file with Contacts information also fails to show the Webpage address information on the Pocket PC. Refer to Option 2: explained above. iCalendar (.ics) All Calendar appointments move one day ahead and appear as all day events even if time is specified. Refer to the information compiled on - Outlook & VCalendar (.vcs) Files Note: The details of an imported appointment having an end date before the start date cannot be viewed in Outlook. It will give you an error message.
