This section provides a relaxed ride through an agricultural landscape. Use extra caution when crossing VT 105 on the east side of East Berkshire. Cyclists who want to extend their trip can leave the Trail with a choice of on-road loops.
Montgomery Bicycle Loop -- A 16.8-mile loop between East Berkshire, Montgomery, and Richford. From East Berkshire, take VT 118 south to Montgomery. Then take South Richford Road and Breault Road to Richford. Return to East Berkshire using the Rail Trail. The 6-mile trip to Montgomery has three covered bridges.
Montgomery Center Bicycle Tour -- Montgomery Center is a quiet, but famous, Vermont cycling destination. Travel on-road for 8 miles to Montgomery Center. You'll be rewarded for your trip with Trout River scenery and friendly business owners.
JD's Pub serves lunch and dinner. The Pine Cone Snack Bar is open in summer.
Dick & Pam's Market and Saint's Quick Stop make deli sandwiches and sell convenience items.


Dick & Pam's Market have opened its restrooms to Trail users and fill water bottles. JD's Pub has a public telephone. Saint's Quick Stop fills water bottles and has a public telephone.
Gas and travel maps are available at Saint's Quick Stop and Dick & Pam's Market.
A parking area is
currently under development in East Berkshire along the Trail near
Victorian Touch. The expected date of completion is summer 2000.
