AGENDA
1. Introduction of Member-at-Large Candidates
- Candidates for the member-at-large seats on the NVRT Council will
introduce themselves.
2. Election of Members-at-Large
- A vote will be held among al/those present to elect eight members-at-large
to the Council for the year 2002.
3. 2001 Highlights
- C. Scott will highlight the Council’s 2001 activities and plans for
2002.
4. Election of Officers
- NVRT Council officers will be elected for the year 2002.
5. Treasurer’s Report
- C. Rutkowski will present the financial report for the fourth quarter
2001, as well as a year 2001 summary.
6. Meeting Minutes
- Discussion and vote on approval of minutes from December 12, 2001 meeting.
7. Wayside Exhibit (B. Waninger)
- Presentation of estimated cost to produce wayside signs and discussion of
next steps.
8. Spring/Summer ‘02 Activities (C. Scott)
- Richford Meeting (April) — annual Sat. morning update meeting (followed
by Council ‘s business meeting) in Richford to be scheduled.
- Maple Festival (April) — should we have a booth again this year? Last
year we had a booth on Kingman St.
- Dairy Festival (June) — should we participate again this year? Last year
we were in the parade and had a booth in Lincoln Park
- National Trails Day — preliminary ideas for a celebration.
- Sheldon Bridge — plan for opening ceremony upon bridge completion (Oct).
- Workday — installation of benches.
9. Snowmobiles on Trail (C. Scott)
- Discussion of letter to Council re snowmobilers.
10. IRS Non-Profit Status Review (B. Waninger)
- Review and approval of required documents for final determination of
non-profit status by IRS (documents to be provided at meeting).
11. Updates
- VT Forests, Parks & Recreation Grant for benches/picnic tables (C.
Scott)
- Northern Forest Canoe Trail Jan. 31 meeting (B. Waninger)
- Information kiosks — installation (B. Waninger)
- Sheldon Quarry (B. Waninger)
12. Other Business
