Chair Raymond Larose called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
P. Cross from Cross Consulting presented a plan for the parking area in E. Berkshire and 3 plans for the parking area at Greens Corner. It was decided that the entrance to the E. Berkshire parking area could be narrowed to 14-16' from 24' shown on the plan. There was a preference for Greens Corner plan #3. Consideration will have to be given to cow access to the southern pasture. P. Cross will consult with C. DuSablon at Vlrans on landscaping and choice of shrubs.
MEETING MINUTES
The following amendment was made to the minutes of March 15, 2000 - Hooked on the Outdoors' magazine sentence should read "The Council would be responsible for the writer's costs of approximately $150 for food and lodging, if approved by Council . B. Brunelle moved to accept the amended minutes of March 15, 2000 and the minutes of April 15, 2000 as written. R. Roberge seconded. Motion carried.
C. Scott outlined the details to date of the June 11 event: sites (Valley Auto Supply parking area and Lincoln Park), schedule of events (guided walk 11-noon, barbecue/music noon-2, displays ~1 1-2), guided walk, chicken barbecue, music (hopefully 2 groups), displays (5-6 organizations), canopies, publicity (flyer, press release, Franklin Lamoille Bank window), finances (grants received from Franklin Lamoille Bank and Ben & Jerry's), and volunteer needs. It was decided that there would only be one price for the barbecue, $6, and that there would be no advance sales. It was decided that a raffle would not be held at this time.
J. Smith, VTrans, asked Council's input on blacktopping across the Trail at the West property off Sweet Hollow Road in Sheldon. There was discussion on whether no net gain in crossings' is still in effect and, as conditions for the permit, that the right-of-way be staked to prevent encroachment and that the screen of trees be replaced.
Trail Maintenance - J. Smith reported that VTrans will be spraying for poison ivy control.
There being no other business, B. Brunelle moved to adjourn at 8:45 p.m. A. Brouillette seconded. Motion carried.
