Participants of a CVT sponsored bike ride at Lakeside. Digital photograph by Kenyon F. Karl on Sept. 25, 1999.
The trail crosses Route 232 a short distance north of the Kettle Pond Parking Area, then runs through the woods roughly parallel to the highway through Lakeside to Rickers.
Note that the reference marks in the historic railroad station listing suggests that Lakeside was nothing more than a rural train stop!

Swimming and picnicking is available at Boulder
Beach at the northeast end of Boulder Drive.

Camp sites are available at Big Deer
Campground, a short distance beyond Stillwater Campground on Boulder Drive.

Leanto and campsites are available at Stillwater
Campground on Boulder Drive.
