Unpaved trail open for public use on an informal basis in both directions

The Webmaster presumes on the basis of a straight-line measurement on the topographic map that this rural train stop was located at the Teal Road Crossing.

Trail users must exercise great care when crossing Route 12 due to the high-speed traffic. Note also that motorists are not warned about the trail crossing!

This trail presumably joins another abandoned railroad bed a short distance northwest around a gentle curve from the Route 12 Crossing. Accordingly, southbound trail users must be sure to fork to the south at the junction of the two roadbeds. Note that the north end of the railroad bed towards South Ashburton shows use only as far as the North Ashburton Road. 


'Street-legal' trail users can enter and exit the trail at the following points:

Note that the campground shown on the topographic map at the north end of Bemis Road (on the shore of Lost Lake) is no longer in operation.

No other trail facilities were observed within a reasonable and safe distance of the trail.
