" a sound that erupts into a sparkling celebration of ragtime, folk-blues and jazz performed with exuberance and spirit" ROCK'N'REEL MAGAZINE

The Ragtime Millionaires started out in the late eighties, with two guitarists (Dave Jenkin & Keith Hills) playing ragtime and blues in Cornish pubs. After building up a local reputation, they were signed up by Fellside Records and they made an album, "Making a Million" in 1993.This got excellent reviews and a fair amount of airplay, resulting in bookings at major festivals all over the U.K
Around this time Keith Hills left to concentrate on recording rather than live work. He was replaced by double bass player Gerry Herbert. The music got jazzier and a stage act with a lot more humour evolved. This line up made three further albums during the nineties and became firm blues festival favourites. They toured England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Spain.
In 1998, drummer Jim Shearman was added to the line up. A new album, mainly recorded live at the Cognac Blues Passions Festival was released in 1999. The Millionaires continue to tour the clubs , pubs and festivals of Europe.
