1944 Station: TCS-12 & HRO-W

1944 Station: TCS-12 TX & HRO-W RX

160-30 Meters AM & CW Station

Pictured is a 5' Forced Air Cooled (not used) 19" Rack Unit. Resting on top of the R-390A/URR 1968 E.A.C. Receiver, is a National Radio Company table-top Speaker for RAS/HRO series receivers.

The R-390 is used as a back-up receiver, or in conjunction with other operating configurations.

The 1944 National Radio Company Model HRO-W (Tropicalized) Receiver has the 1.7 to 4.0 plug-in coil drawer installed. 5 other coils for coverage from the BCB to 30 Mhz are nearby.

A homemade AC Power supply (Separate TX & RX supplies) powers the Transmitter and Reciever. The receiver may be automatically muted on TX.

A TCS Antenna Loading Coil is used to increase "Loading" of the antenna.

The TCS-12 Transmitter, with it's T-17 Carbon Microphone, J-37 Knee Key, and WW2 Headphones is in very good condition.

The Manuals for all equipment and spare tubes are in the back of the rack cabinet.

It is alot of fun operating a radio station that is older than I am!.
