Jesus says "Ask and you shall recieve,seek and you shall find,knock and it shall be opened unto you" .Many a times you have knocked but you have failed to recieve the favour you asked for?Familiar with this situation? and you have landed up hating God for not hearing your prayers,well,here is the solution to it.
Prayer with fervour and pray fervently.Now you might say i did that,i did pray fervently,but hold on...what i would call 'fervent prayer' is the following.
Repent of your sins and clean yourself of sin - (go for confession Catholics) and fast
"Pray for those who persecute you,bless them and not curse them"
Pray 5 whole rosaries ( whole rosary is the joyful,sorrowful and glorious mysteries together ) in one day for 1 week. (you can dedicate each decade for a petition or as a thanksgiving for the favours recieved)
Pray for 5 hours continously without stopping...
Too difficult for you?????This is very possible....well, afraid that is what you call 'a taste of fervent prayer'....
On the other hand if you will pray, you will recieve favours which are not what you have asked for -ie greater things than what you had asked God for God knows what is good for you and will work things out for His glory and your prosperity.
As He says "I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for."

A tip: For those of you who are working all day at the office here is how you could change your work into a 'prayer':
Whenever you start on anything,on your walk to your office,do a particular job like cleaning the dishes,cleaning your desk,or even go for a coffee,say to Jesus,'I consecrate this act/work for you O Lord,for you and and for your Glory to be seen in me.Hear my petition O Lord'.The trick is to 'remember' to do this,usually you start of forgetting, force yourself to remind yourself the first week by keeping reminder notes somewhere on your desk.etc,once this becomes a habit you shall see how you will be walking in His Love throughout your day.I must stress and say, it is through your 'remembering' to offer your each routine to God,that you become closer to Him and that you become aware of His presence with you every minute.After some weeks of hard work at this,you can even in the midst of a hot debate,be reminded of His presence with you and you will be able to turn to Him to thank him for it!
The Parable of the Widow and the Judge ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to teach them that they should always pray and never become discouraged.
"In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man.And there was widow who kept coming to him and pleading for her rights,saying 'Help me against my opponent!' for a long time the judge refused to act,but at last he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or respect man, yet because of all the trouble this widow is giving me,I will see to it that she gets her right.If I don't,she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!"
And the Lord continued "Listen to what that corrupt judge said.Now will God not judge in favour of his own people who cry out to him day and night for help? I tell you he will judge in his favour and do it quickly.
The main two important phrases are in red ie 'always' and 'never become discouraged' .These are the catch word here which we often miss out while reading this often quoted parable.So pray and be sure you shall recieve it.May all glory and honour go unto Him!
