I'm Back
It's been quite awhile since I've had the opportunity to update my website. I've had quite a few things going on lately. I'm hoping that that is all behind me and I can get back into keeping the website updated until I finally run out of web space. Anyways, thanks for all the emails and thanks to all of you loyal viewers of my website. ~ Greg~

Ginger's Drum Kit For Sale
This is the drum kit Ginger used in the "Dope Show" video and for the MTV Music Awards. Following is the exact description that Ginger emailed me about this awesome kit: "This kit is one of a kind because Premier does not make a 26 inch kick drum and they did not have a gold sparkle kit on the market. They made this kit just for me! The kit consists of a 26 inch kick drum and a 14 inch wood hooped snare drum. My drum tech cut out 4 inches of the top rim for the MTV Awards when we played "The Dope Show" so I would hit all drum head and not too much rimshot. It worked great and the kit sounded amazing. The tom is 13 inches and the floor tom is 16 inches. This kit has only been played for the video and the MTV Awards so that means twice. It is in perfect shape". The reserve was not met on eBay so it is now available to buy here for $4500.

The Attack
This evening, I could no longer hold back the tears. They flowed out of me uncontrollably. I'm not ashamed of this, I hope that I shed at least one tear for every victim of this senseless cowardly act. I don't really know what the garbage that did this was trying to prove, they"ve only proved their stupidity to us Americans, unless they just wanted to cause us pain. If that's the case, I must admit, they did that, because we hurt more than can be described with words, but that's all they did and like with any wound, this one will heal, and we'll go on and we'll be as strong as ever. If the intention of this garbage, ( I call them garbage, because they think nothing more of their own lives than to throw them away along with many innocent lives as well) was to weaken us, they failed, they only made us stronger and brought us closer together. If their intention was to prove something, they did that, they proved how cowardly they are and how stupid they are because any half-wit knows you don't throw a rock into a hornets nest and not expect the hornets to come after you. It's going to be a great day when they finally feel our sting.

OzzFest and Auction Update
I just got back from Ozzfest and damn was it a killer show. Manson and crew were top form and kept the crowd mesmerized. I had the opportunity to sit down with Ginger on their bus and go through his items for his upcoming auctions. We took pictures of all the items and I had him sign all the pieces. I'm going to try to have the first auction rolling by Saturday. I also talked with Manson one-on-one about doing some auctions for him in the near future so that's going to be something else to look out for. The auctions will be held on Ebay, so you can go and search for "Ginger Fish" in your search field and you should find the items pretty easy.

Lemmy Kilmister Takes Up For Manson
In an interview in Goldmine magazine May 18th '01 with Lemmy Kilmister of Moterhead the interviewer commented on how he had this theory that rock stars can't be rebels anymore. He asks how can Marilyn Manson be a rebel when he's supported by a major corporation. Lemmy quips back, " But he's still outraging people. That's what we're supposed to do. We're suppose to outrage people. You're supposed to piss your parents off, basically. That's the purpose of rock 'n' roll bands.
Here's an interesting little snippet. The hand you see here is a prosthetic hand, and in the hand is a prosthetic eyeball. John5 got these from me to give to Manson as a Christmas present in '99
This headline was in a local free circular. It happened in Frankfort Kentucky. The woman, a 20 year old university student had worn a Manson tee shirt that read " I am the God of F#@K" at a Tater Days Festival, an annual spring festival in Benton. After women with small children complained about her to local authorities, the woman was sited with harassment and fined $250 and $72 in court costs. She appealed it once and lost because the judge said the shirt was not constitutionally protected free speech. Her second appeal was won when the judge was reported saying "The law clearly requires more than a simple expression of dislike by... the public for the conduct of another person." if it was left up to me, I say "On With The Tater Festival!"
My Night at the Charlotte, NC Show
Well the day started around 12:00 with me calling John5 to tell him we were on our way to Charlotte and that I would call him again once we got there. My wife and I were taking our niece to see the guys for the first time and man was she stoked!! She had never seen a live Manson show and just could not believe that not only was she going to see a show but she was actually going to meet the guys in person.
We got to Charlotte about 1:30 PM and I called John and he told me that they were getting ready to do sound check soon so to meet him at the back of the coliseum around 5:00 so we went and messed around at the mall for awhile. When it was time to meet John we left for the coliseum. We arrived right at 5:00 and we could still hear them inside playing. 5:30 rolled around, still no John. Sometime before 6:00 a guy came out of the back door and he spotted my autographed shirt and he asked if he could take a picture of it for a Manson scrap book so I said sure. I heard him mention something and I remarked on what he had said. He said he couldn't comment on it and I told him that I already knew all about it. He asked me my name and thinking nothing at all about it I told him. He jumped towards me and shocked me, my wife Jody and our niece Melissa when he says "You're Greg York?!" I told him yeah and he said that he was well aware of who I was from hearing John and Twiggy talk of me on numerous occasions.
At this point he tells me that they're having some technical difficulties is the reason they're running late.
He goes back in and comes out a few minutes later and tells me, Jody and Melissa to follow him. We go inside and walk to the dressing room and when the door opens Twiggy yells Greg and comes and throws his arms around my neck soon followed by John. I look over at Melissa and her eyes are as big as saucers! I've brought Twiggy and John a few gifts and they check out their stuff and then they tell me they have some stuff for me and Oh My God, Did they ever!! As you can see from the photos, I racked up, I was on cloud 9!! I gave John a '78 KISS Gene Simmons doll and he runs out and puts it on his amp and that's where Gene sat that night during the show.
We asked if we could have a few pictures and they said sure so we lined up for pictures. When it was Melissa's turn I told her to go slide in between them and she just walked over to them muttering Omagod, Omagod. John told her it would be all right and to not throw up and Twiggy made a blecchh noise and that made Melissa laugh and put her at ease and she got a really cool picture with them which I'll load on here soon. Ginger walked through at some point here and we said hello and he went on out. Soon after this we left to go get our tickets and passes. I don't want to tell any specifics on the show because I don't want to spoil the surprise. They do songs from all the albums so it's a well rounded show no matter which is your favorite album. After the show we go to the after show party and Manson comes in and we stand and talk for a few minutes and then I start feeling like I'm hogging him so I move away from him to let some other people talk to him. All this time Jody is running around getting everyone in the band to sign her pants that she has had a lot of other rockers sign. We stay for awhile longer and so as not to overstay our welcome, we say our goodbyes and take off. We thought we were going to have to tie a rope to Melissa's leg to keep her on the ground. The only downer in the whole evening was not getting photos with the other band members. Well, there's always next time.
