Action In The Pacific-Series 3
We Surface For The Brave By Panzerjager & Oddball
USS DEVILFISH LOG 1- October 1944 Commanding Officer Captain Jenkins. After returning from a war patrol, rescued two American sailors in San Bernardino Straits from a stricken destroyer, advised by men that Japanese naval element consisting of a battleship and cruisers were spotted. Pursued unable to to find enemy during patrol. Returned to Sub Com Pac 3rd Flotilla for resupply and new mission. Mission orders dispatched, pick up Special Opps Commander Joe from HQ and report back to command for further orders. Mission TOP SECRET! P1.
P2. Capt Jenkins- I don't know what's going on, but it must be hot. Sub Com Pac is ordering the Devilfish and some other boats out on a top secret mission. CO Joe- My men have been ordered to your boat. I wonder if they arrived yet. I see the the gate and I have my papers ready.
p3- Sam-"Good day commander, can I see your papers?"
P4-"Charlie open the gate!"
P5-Sam-"Here are your papers sir."
P6-Joe-"Now that's a good detail!"
P7 Capt Jenkins-"Yeah, he must have some hook."
P8-Joe-"HOOK, he must have an anchor bigger then the one he is sitting on."
P9 Joe-"How much farther is it to your boat." Capt Jenkins -"Soon."
P11-Joe "What are those round things? They look like oversized beer cans. Jenkins- Those are Depth charges.
P12-Joe- "Get us out of here before one of those guys drops one."
