The Lucky Luger Chapter 3- Ambush
Fearing the worse for there long overdue comrade,
and with war raging around them , NCO Johan decides to
go see what's up ahead himself. The kubbelwagen patrol found tiger tank
unit S21 burning in a Minefield , a little further in the forest they
found
the body of there fallen comrade Borger along with
the wreckage of his kettenkrad. To add further to there melancholy they
learned that there defenses along the beaches of Normandy have fallen.
The allies are landing tons of men and equipment per minute that will
eventually over whelm the German army and push them out of western Europe.
The German command was caught totally by surprise, Irreplaceable
reinforcements try to make their way back to Normandy are harassed or
destroyed while enroute by the superior allied air power or paratrooper's
behind enemy lines. (That's what happened to tiger S21,. thanks to Antitank
Hank). Fritz and the NCOs decided that to attack the
massive allied elements on the Normandy beach with there small force would be
useless. Command ordered them the stand ground until other German
elements can reach them. They are the lone tiger left in Normandy.
#1 NCO Luthor- " Somebody went
through his pockets before us. The swine's took his pistol!"
#2 Johan- "What do you think did this
to him." Luthor-" I don't know. I want to give him a
decent burial here. Let's do this fast, before we run into what ever he
did."
#3 The Kubbelwagon returns to the armor
platoon. Luthor-" Fritz, Franz is dead. His kettenkrad was
destroyed! We also found Tiger Tank S21 burning in one of our
minefield. Some swine switched the signs on the road. We also got
close to the beach as we dared. The enemy is everywhere. Our great
Atlantic walls have fallen. Now I have to break the news of Franz to
Volker. They grew up together." Fritz- " Before you do ,
Command has sent us a message, They don't want us to advance to the
beach. They told us to stand ground and wait for reinforcements. The
enemy will probably be sending in armor up the main roads, I know a
perfect spot to ambush them."
#4 Several hours later, in another
part of the forest, Hank, George and Jack run into a British
Paratrooper.
#5 Hank- "Ah Jack! keep your gun sights
on this guy, he might be a Jerry in disguise." George
-" Hank ,do you remember the password?" Jack-" Go fly a
kite. If he his a Brit, he sure is lost. " Hank -
"Yea, he probably had to much English gin."
#6 British paratrooper- " Say GI's
, Go fly a kite!" Hank- "Yea, he is one of Monte's boys
alright."
