Tales of the Lucky Luger Chapter 1

Chapter 1- THE LONE TIGER !    The German Perspective!

 

    June 5 1944, One day before the Normandy invasion, the German army believing the false intelligence reports fed to them by the allies thought that an allied invasion was to take place at Calais in France.  With that in mind they transferred the bulk of their armor units there.   With few exceptions due to mechanical problems this story begins.                                          

Normandy France , June 6 1944 ,1500hrs  -  15 miles from Normandy beach          

 

#1  German NCO' s  Luthor and Johan en route to check on a German Platoon that is over due at the railroad station.

          

#2- Johan-"Odersturmführer Fritz claims he is delayed due to repairs.  The commanders at  headquarters are pissed."

 

#3-  As the NCOs pull up into the delayed platoons encampment.  Tank Driver Ferdinand-"Oh crap! The boss is here and he doesn't look happy."  NCO Luthor- " Fritz , Come down here I have new orders for you, and your elite bunch."

#4-  Tank Commander Fritz to Private Borger- "I told you to get that  #%*@&!# bed out of here, before the boss arrives."

 

#5- "Fritz, you are ordered to Calais via train.  Once there you are to join up with Oderstrumfuhrer Lutz, and secure village 9981.  Intelligence believes the Englandter and Amrikaners are Planning something big."
