Makemalu Parts/ Instructions
Makemalu was basically an attempt
to create a figure that could be both 2-legged and 4-legged, and to try
and use up some of those claws of Onua's (as you might imagine I had quite
a few). The 4-legged thing didn't pan out once I assembled her "hands"
out of various mini-fig weapons and tools (don't ask from which sets, because
I really don't know), but at least I managed to create unusual legs for
her.
I think she wins for the most parts.
Her mask turned out to be a problem,
and is a big reason for the delay in posting her to the site. At first
I wanted a black Matatu, but I simply couldn't get one, and nothing else
looked right (actually a Matatu wouldn't have worked anyway, as it runs
into the shoulder assemblies). Eventually the Bohrok came out in my area
(took quite a while), and I figured I'd try a Krana. Took some more time
before I found a black Za, which I liked because it looks vaguely feline,
to match the legs. And so Makemalu was finished. Then I moved into a new
home, adding more delay until now.
