| Well...this prerelease was, in a word, interesting. All the players played something with green in it which was kind of boring but it was still a really fun day. I built, what I presumed to be a pretty solid green/white build. My deck was running on the idea of "play a creature.make a creature.pump a creature.gain some life). Well...here we go. Round 1: - Wiccuss Ross. - G/W(almost mirror). 2-0 Wiccuss said that he hadn't played M:TG for about a year or so, so he might make a few mistakes and stuff but he did really well and had me cringing on many an occassion. Game 1: Quick win for me .Game 2: This game took forever!! I bashed away his army to find that he was still on 20 life. I made it through and dealt him the 20 with my pump-up action serving me well. ![]() Round 2: - Grant van Dyk. - G/R/W/U.(I don't know the colour divions. Correct me via e-mail if I'm wrong.) 0-2. Game 1 & 2: Grant van Dyk...'nuff said. (He claimed to have drafted a crapy deck, who said a little modesty couldn't go a long way??) | Round 3: - Rob Brown. - G/R. 2-1 Game 1: A quick beating from Rob took me down really fast. Game 2: This game took forever and found Rob screaming at his deck for some survival tactics. With my army which included 8(yes,8) bear tokens generated by the ultimate, Grizzly Fate, I managed to beat Rob down quite quickly and found it really fun too. ![]() Game 3: This one took a while but my (huge) army came through. ![]() "I had a little chat with the boys..." - Rob assuring me of his deck's skill. ![]() That's right folks...No lunch break! For the first time in M:TG history, there is no lunch break at this tournament! It's a first if you ask me. (Just kidding)Round 4: - Paul (sorry dude, can't remember your surname). - G/R/U.1-2 Game 1: He took me down well with nice form. Game 2: I was just about to kill him when he conceded. ![]() Game 3: Nice work on his part with some heavy Centaurs saw my demise quite quickly. ![]() Well...with a small turnout of 13 players, we all had fun and were all friends and all that kinda stuff. It was a very relaxed atmosphere unlike at Stadium on Main a lot of the time. Thanks to Grant van Dyk for judging and running the whole tournament because without him, wed have to find someone else to run it!(MWA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAA!) (Just kidding). |
