Cloud Strife is a mercenary. He used to work for the organisation SOLDIER alongside Sefiroth, but he later joine up with the resistance group called AVALANCHE and met up with his childhood freind Tifa.

Cloud originally assisted AVALANCHE in destroying some of the Mako reactors created by the evil Shinra, but he was eventually led into battle with his previous idol, sefiroth. AVALANCHE eventually assist Cloud.

Cloud's identity is uncertain however. It is revealed that he was a test for a sefiroth clone, and that his assumed identity is actually that of a fellow SOLDIER member named Zack. Cloud's identity is somewhat confusing but he is still determined to continue his quest to save the planet and defeat sefiroth.

Cloud has since appeared in Kingdom Hearts. Here he was a mercenary hired by Hades to destroy Hercules, but he eventually went on to battle Sora. After Sora defeated him, he stayed at the Colluseum to train.

Donkey Kong

He has come a long way since then. He resides in the Kongo jungle with the other Kongs where he protects his banana stash from the Kremling Krew (led by King K. Rool). He first stopped the evil kremlings when he teamed up with minute chimp Diddy Kong. He has had many other adventures since then.

DK is strong and relatively fast for a huge ape. He can use vines to swing around and he uses barrrels as a main weapon. He also has a powerful ground-slam attack which comes in useful. His animal freinds often come to his aid during adventures. He also has a son called DK jr.

DK has driven a kart, fought other nintendo rivals, played golf and tennis, and he is a star of the Marioparty games. DK's newest venture involves swinging from tree to tree to a rythym of bongos.

Lara Croft

Lara Croft has been raiding tombs for nearly 10 years, and has earned her position in gaming history The treaure-hunting, feisty, female has remained at the heart of one of Sony's biggest franchises. With over 6 games, and 2 movies,she has certainly come a long way since shooting down wolves in underground tunnels.

Born in London as part of the aristocratic Croft family, she got tired of her school-life and became very adventurous. Instead of her tutoring, she chose instead to try rock-climbing, skiing, shooting and various other sporting activities. She headed out into the Himylayas after graduating, but her plane crashed. She was forced to survive in hostile conditions not learnt in her years of sheltered upbringing.

She became bored with her upper-classs society, and as a result her parents dissasociated with her. She still retained some elements of this life-style, and her upper-class accent is a sign of her wealthy past. She took interest in archeology and was soon making freindships with tutors and librarians. She also used the time to pursue her shooting interests and became familiar with different weapons. She also learnt to drive various vehicles but still prefers her motorcycle.

She still had a benefactor in the form of her great aunt. She inhereted money and a huge mansion in Surrey. She used it mainly for training and storing artifacts. She also inhereted a butler called Winston. Her trips, however were funded by writing various texts of her exploits. Her first main adventure was when she was hired by Jaqueline Natla to find the ledgendary Atlantean Scion. She discovered the lost city of Atlantis, and kept the Scion in her own personal collection. Her other adventures led to her finding the dagger of Xion among other artifacts.

Will there be other Tomb Raider games? Only time will tell. But Lara's adventures have far from ended. Who knows what she may yet encounter.

Luca Blight

Luca Blight was an evil prince, whose only goal in life was destruction and murder. He was the son of King Agares Blight, ruler of Highland, but he soon disposed of his father and became king.

Luca's only desire was destruction. He pleasured himself by torching villages to the ground and murdering innocent people after they had been humiliated. Many of his followers were just as evil, but Luca was almost inhuman.

Luca possesed a strength like no other. He was unstoppable as a foe, and there were no time for negotiations. He merely destroyed all who opposed him and even some who did not. In the end it took whole armies just to take down the one man.

He met his demise when the new liberation army led by hero finally destroyed him. It took 18 people to take him down, it was no easy battle. Many soldiers died.

Luca's only soft spot appeared to be his sister Jillia, but even then he showed her little affection and treated her as badly as any other person. He was truly insane. But his reign of terror was crushed when hero fought him one on one, and he finally died. Before he died he was still insane, laughing maniacally before his life was over.

Mario

Mario is reknowned worldwide as Nintendo's mascot. He was not the very first nintendo character, but he has his glory anyway. He first appeared as an unknown character in Donkey Kong, but has since built up his own franchise which is Nintendo's most famous.

Mario was born somewhere in Italy. He and his brother Luigi were plumbers. But one day, they stumbled across a warp-pipe which transported them into the mysterious mushroom kingdom where they needed to defeat the evil king bowser. Bowser had kidnapped the princess peach toadstool. He progressed through the land with the help of the toadstools. He defeated bowser and rescued peach.

But this would not deter Bowser. Mario had to rescue her time and time again. On his journey, he has fought against enemies like the koopas, bowser jr. and an evil toad called wart. He was aided in his many quests by allies such as Toad and Yoshi.

But mario has appeared in other games too. Donkey kong was the first. He has starred in the Mario Kart series, the most recent being MK: Double Dash!! on Gamecube. He has also featured in the five mario party games, the two smash brothers games and his very own RPG's. He has his own line of sports games too, featuring Mario golf and Mario Tennis.

Samus Aran

Samus Aran is the bounty hunter who has been made famous by starring in the glorius Metroid series. Originally believed to be a man in the 2D Metroid for NES, when pros completed the game in a fast time, she revealed her identity at the end, proving to be a middle aged blonde woman.

Samus Aran's true origins are unknown. What is known however, was that she was born and raised on a Chozo world. The mysterious and highly advanced race of bird people known as the chozo, not only trained her, but constructed her upgradeable powersuit. She became a bounty hunter working for the Space federation.

Her main assignment which is most well-known was the one where she was called to the pirate planet Zebes. The pirates had stolen some of the mysterious lifeforms known as Metroids from the planet SR-388. She had to hunt down and kill the leading pirates; Kraid, Ridley and the Mother Brain before they discovered the secret of the Metroids' energy draining properties and became unstopabble.

She succeded but the pirates still escaped to Tallon IV with some Metroids. Not only did they restore Ridley to health, but they were also planning on fusing the mysterious and highly toxic mutagen, called Phazon, with living creatures. Samus beat them once again, and destroyed the Metroid Prime, the source of phazon.

after this, the space federation realised the dangers of Metroids. they sent Samus to SR-388 to eliminate every one. She had to fight with evolved versions of the parasites, and the Metroid queen before escaping the planet. But a metroid larvae had followed her. It was her duty to return it to the Ceres Research Station.

But to her shock, the station was desserted. To her shock, she once again found Ridley who stole the incubated larvae and took it to Zebes, which had been rebuilt. She needed to fight her way into Tourian, once again defeating Ridley and Kraid, where she found the Metroid larvae had grown into a deadly force, it drained her of her energy, leaving her barely alive. She recovered enough to fight mother brain, but when she was about to die, the Metroid saved her life by defeating Mother brain. In doing so it lost it's life. She evacuated, where she was able to give scientists some metroid cells.

Her adventure was not over though, she found a parasite more deadly than Metroids, the X parasite. They fused with her, nearly killing her and draining her abilities. She needed to investigate the research station they inhabitted. She discovered that all the scientists were dead, and all the research specimens, including the frozen Ridley, had been inhabited by X parasites, the natural predator of Meroids. These creatures took on the forms and abilities of those they inhabited, so Samus found herself battling bygone creatures. Worst still, a clone of her dubbed the SA-X was walking around with all her lost abilities. She did not have the power to fight it. But guided by her computer, who's personality had been uploaded from her former CO (and possibly love interest?) Adam Malkovich, and the freindly etecoons and dachoras she met on Zebes, she defeated the X and destroyed the Metroid research facilities.

What the future holds for Samus is unclear, but she has also featured in the Smash Bros. games. Two new sequels are being developed. Metroid Zero Mission for the GBA is a remake of her Zebes adventures, and may tell us more of her past than we already knew. The other is the much anticipated Metroid Prime 2, which will probably be released alongside the N5. We will have to wait and see...

Shoma

Shoma is a student from gorevile school. As with all students from that school, he is naturally sporty. His particular sport is baseball, and he wears his outfit and wields his bat wherever he goes.

Shoma is arrogant and headstrong. He is however loyal, and fought Justice High school alongside his friends Roberto and Natsu. He has a brother who he admires greatly, and secretly harbours feelings for Natsu, although he'll never admit it.

In combat Shoma is a fast warrior with both short and long range techniques. His long range attacks comprise of using baseballs as weapons, and are fairly weak, however he can fire in different directions. He is best at a close range, when his baseball bat comes into use. No foe can stand up to a direct hit with the powerful weapon.

Squall Leonheart

Squall Leonheart is a calm, gunblade wielding leader with a lust for fighting. An orphan after birth, Squall was sent to the Trabia orphanage run by Edea and Cid Krammer. When garden was developed, Squall moved to Balamb Garden and became a fine soldier

He began to train as a SeeD, and eventually achieved his goal, and became one of Balamb garden's special forces. It was not long before Headmaster Cid recognized his talents, and Squall became the leader of Balamb Garden.

Squall was a silent warrior, often thought to be shy, he never shared his views with anybody. He much prefered to keep things to himself, seeing others as just distractions. This changed when he met Rinoa, and he gradually became more open and began to care about his friends more. He fell in love with Rinoa, and eventually saved her life by risking his own.

however when time became compressed, after the demise of Ultimecia, he eventually began to forget, the one thing he should not have done. He lost memories of the one he loved and was soon to be trapped in compression forever. But he remembered, and made it out alive.

Squall also made an appearance in Kingdom Hearts, under the pseudonym Leon. He regretted he had been unable to save his kingdom and opted for a new name. Leon is quite a different person. Much more open and friendly than squall, but still a fierce fighter and still opting for the choice as gunblade for a weapon.

Squall's other appearance was in chocobo racing, as an unlockable character with his own stage and secret gunblade weapon.

Zidane Tribal

A bold and outgoing theif from the gang called Tantalus. Zidane was raised by the leader Baku almost like a son. He had great theiving potential.

An ordinary job changed the life of Zidane. He had to kidnap the Princess Garnet, and this ultimately led him on a journey of discovery and danger. He battled on to defeat the evil Kuja, along with Steiner, Garnet, Vivi, Eiko, Quina, Adamant and Freya

The ultimate revelation for Zidane was the discovery he made on the planet terra. He was part of a manufactured soulless "elite race" called Genomes. It turns out both he and Kuja were

But Zidane pulled through at the end backed by his allies. He will never go down in history as the most popular Final Fantasy character, and he is far from the levels of past heroes Squall and Cloud, but he is certainly rememberred.
