Before we begin, it is very important to understand that 'space is an entity', and that the universe is alive and has intelligence. Consider the following:
***
***
Note: The brief explanation above is introductory and is based upon the traditional numbering sequence of the Tree of Life diagram.
Our solar system is one of seven systems composing the primary chakras of a cosmic entity Who is known by the appellation 'The One Of Whom Naught May Be Said'. Within the body of manifestation of that supreme being our system is the physical expression of His heart chakra, and therefore it is a cosmic focus for the energy of the 2nd Ray (of love-wisdom). Thus, the 2nd ray is the fundamental ray underlying and governing our solar system.
The Law of Three
When our solar logos willed to extend His being into the cosmic physical plane, He did so by what I call the universal Law of Three. This is a procedure used by all true creators from God down to man. It is described by the qabalistic formula AHI (aleph-ha-yod) meaning 'I exist' or 'I am' in the Hebrew language.
Figure 1.

Note
. The word AHIH shown in the diagram above is the extended version of the AHI formula. (See below for more information.) For information regarding the elemental attributions (Fire-Earth-Air-Water) see the article, The Wheel of the Law. The notation H2 that appears throughout these articles is used to indicate the second ha in the formula AHIH.Here follows a brief description of the three terms of this formula. You will notice below that the initial aleph is separated from the main triune sequence. The reason for this is to highlight the notion that aleph's full expression does not manifest on the physical plane until phase three of the creative process.
Thus when the Creation is viewed wholly as a process of physical manifestation the formula appears as HIA meaning 'she, herself' in Hebrew. This is appropriate since the formula HIA and the word 'she' might be said to especially represent the 'form principle' also referred to as the Great Mother principle.
0) A (aleph): SPIRIT. The unmanifest creator overseeing the whole creative procedure; operating from the 'inner' planes.
The Three Phases of Physical Manifestation of the Law of Three.
1) H (ha): FORM. The first 'manifest' act of the creative process involves the placing of a subjective limitation upon the objective (or universal) form principle (H, ha). This entails the delineation of a boundary, or the establishment of parameters within which the creator will work. The creator develops and nurtures the delimited form principle until it finally achieves a condition amenable to the influx of his life-giving creative essence, or consciousness.
This initial phase of the threefold process naturally defines the working parameters of the creation and has its correspondence with the first significant part of the life of a human-being - the first cycle of Saturn (leading up to the age of 28 approx.). Up until that time the emphasis is upon our (more or less selective) absorption and collation of information and the learning of practical skills from the environment. This information supplies the substance, and forms the foundation for the creative activity of the second phase of the cycle (i.e. I, yod).
2) I (yod): CONSCIOUSNESS. During phase two the creator infuses the previously prepared 'base material' with his own consciousness. In other words, he allows his imagination to play within the framework of assimilated knowledge and experience that he had constructed (in the prior phase).
In the case of the solar logos, He injects the power of His creative consciousness into the living environment of the solar system - the community of microcosmic forms He has prepared for His habitation. In the life of a human-being, this stage corresponds with the second 28 year cycle of Saturn, from the age of 28 to 56 (approx.). For Humanity it is a time of personal creative endeavor as we apply our own vibration (or creative essence) to our chosen field of activity, study, or work.
3) A (aleph): SPIRIT. The unseen creator finally manifests himself within and through his physical vehicle by revealing his original purpose during the third stage of the Law of Three. He does so by influencing the consciousness principle which in turn becomes increasingly receptive to and expressive of His divine purpose. In this phase the creatures of the solar creation collectively unite themselves towards the supreme purpose of the solar logos.
It is during the third 28 year Saturnian cycle (from the age of 56 to 84 approx.) that a human-being becomes more conscious (if he has successfully applied the Law of Three) of the unfolding purpose of his incarnation. The flow of divine inspiration gradually begins to reveal an underlying theme - a singular purpose with which all past efforts and achievements have been unconsciously connected, and towards the fulfillment of which the whole life-force now becomes consciously directed.
And so during this phase we passionately and lovingly concentrate our life energies towards the ultimate and inevitable consummation for which we have been unconsciously preparing ourselves for our whole life.
The Appearance of the Seven Heavenly Men
Imagine a beam of white light that emanates from the being of the solar logos and pierces the prism of cosmic etheric 'matter' that underlies the physical form of the solar system. In other words, it flows from the plane of Adi and enters the plane of Atma. The beam is then diffracted into seven subsidiary rays (or vortices) of energy which arise upon the monadic plane. Seven major groups of monads were thus conformed and these compose the seven chakras of the solar logos. These seven 'cosmogenetic' groups are like seven 'fruits of consciousness' - the evolutionary product of previous cosmic cycles. Thus did the seven 'Heavenly Men' (planetary logoi) come into being in our solar system. (See Figure 2.)
Figure 2.

It needs to be realised that what we mean by the consciousness principle is the level of being from which an entity functions creatively. In the case of the solar logos functioning on the cosmic physical plane, the main thrust of His creative endeavour is coordinated by the seven Heavenly Men Who are especially associated with the monadic plane - the second sub-plane of the cosmic physical plane. Hence the monadic plane is considered the location of the systemic consciousness principle.
You will notice in
Table 1 (below) that the consciousness principle (i.e. as symbolised by I, yod) for average humanity exists upon the mental plane, and that it exists for other entities elsewhere within the seven planes of our universe. It is not until the appearance of the microcosm that the lesser expressions of the creative (or consciousness) principle emerge within our universe. The microcosm is chiefly characterised by the four lower sub-planes of the cosmic physical plane - the buddhic, mental, astral, and etheric/physical planes of our universe, and also corresponds especially with the four rays of attribute, and the seven lower sephiroth of the Tree of Life.
The Seven Planes
The cosmic physical plane consists of what we, as human-beings, consider to be the seven major planes of our universe. They are in fact the seven sub-planes of the 'lowest' cosmic plane - the cosmic physical plane. They are named as follows:
1) Adi (pure spirit)
2) Monadic (love-wisdom)
3) Atma (intelligent purpose)
4) Buddhi (or the intuitive plane)
5) Manas (or the mental plane)
6) Astral (the plane of desires)
7) Etheric (or physical plane)
We shall now examine the Tree of Life from the macrocosmic vantage point.
Note. The sephirothic colours used in the Tree of Life diagram in the figure below are the standard sephirothic colours (Queen scale). The colours used in some of our other illustrations portray the elemental attributions of AHIH.
Figure 3.

1 (Adi) = Kether - the first sephira
2 (Monadic) = Hockmah - the second sephira
3 (Atma) = Binah - the third sephira
When the cosmic creative process began, the solar logos over-shadowed a region of etheric space and conformed the physical structure and dynamics of the solar system. From His high place He supervised the evolution of the form principle until a living sentient form adequate to his purposes emerged. The solar system with its attendant and profuse variety of natural life-forms was born. This process occurred during what we call the first solar cycle, in a past incomprehensibly distant. The human form was chief among the forms relatively perfected during that time.
Here follows another 'word picture' that is based once again upon the Tree of Life format. It describes the physical formation of our solar system.
***
We are now well within the second solar cycle which corresponds with yod (I) of the HIA formula. At the commencement of the present cycle the logos permeated the prepared 'physical' substance of the solar system with His creative essence, thereby initiating a current of creative activity and consciousness development within His embodiment - our solar system. (See: Figure 4.)
Figure 4.

Note: Master Djwal Khul describes these vast evolutionary solar cycles by the term 'solar systems', but it is unclear to me as to whether or not he is implying the actual physical death of our solar system and its rebirth in a new form. My feeling is that He is speaking symbolically and hence I have chosen to use (in most places in my work) the term 'solar cycle'.
As I mentioned previously, the primary (or solar) ray of our solar system - the vibration which forms the very basis of its existence - is the 2nd ray of love-wisdom. Every monad, every elemental unit or atom that has originated within the body of the solar logos is fundamentally coloured by the 2nd ray.
As the logos manifested upon the cosmic physical plane, His primary energy was diffracted (by the form principle) into seven secondary forces and thereby He formulated His seven chakras - as personified by the seven Heavenly Men. Therefore, every human monad is keyed to the vibration of one of the seven secondary (or 'planetary') rays of the system and thus also to one of the planetary logoi.
A human monad is the originating source of the human expression within the cosmic physical plane. They are located on the second, or Monadic plane. They are like seeds held within seven fruits (or seed-pods) and together they form a collective creative intelligence, cooperating in love and wisdom in order to manifest the divine purpose of the planetary logoi and therefore, ultimately, that of the solar logos.
The Emergence of the Microcosm
In actuality, what we have been considering above in relation to the formulae AHI and HIA is the manifestation of what is termed the 'divine triad' - the original three macrocosmic powers that oversee the divine creative process. These three correspond to the three Rays of Aspect as well as the three supernal sephiroth (i.e. Kether, Hockmah, and Binah) of the qabalistic Tree of Life.
The extended form of the AHI formula is written AHIH (Hebrew: aleph-ha-yod-ha) and takes also into account the subsequent manifestation of the four Rays of Attribute and the seven microcosmic sephiroth. The appearance of the microcosm is represented by the second ha of the formula AHIH to which I sometimes ascribe the notation H
2 to distinguish it from the original macrocosmic H of the AHI formula.Figure 5.

The chart above divides the seven planes into four groups of four. It is a division that's based on the formula AHIH
2 where the second H (H2) appended to the equation symbolises the lowest physical manifestation of the creator, be he God or man. The final 'ha' is a vital component of the creative formula because following the emergence of consciousness (i.e. I, yod) within an organised form (i.e. initial H, ha), as described by the sub-formula AHI, the principle of consciousness (I, yod) itself begins to exert its own creative influence upon the form principle - hence the final H of AHIH. The activity of yod (I) is guided by its link with the spirit principle (A, aleph).Master DK discusses certain relationships (portrayed in figure 5 above) in His book Cosmic Fire. There He makes the following comment...
In connection with the manifestation of electricity on the mental, astral and physical planes. We will not enlarge upon the subject, as it will later be discussed as fully as may be possible. Suffice it to say that the law holds good and that what is laid down as fact anent a Heavenly Man on His Own planes is equally true of man on the four lower planes. Thus:It is interesting to note that DK has deliberately omitted (in the above quote) the correspondences for Initiate Humanity (i.e. the 'Spiritual Hierarchy') - presumably because the information wasn't needed in the context. I have however given them in Figures 5 and 8 in the present work.A SOLAR LOGOS
Electrical vibration - the plane logoic or adi.
Electrical light - the plane monadic or anupadaka.
Electrical sound - the plane of atma.
Electrical color - the plane of buddhi.A HEAVENLY MAN
Electrical vibration - the plane monadic.
Electrical light - the plane of atma.
Electrical sound - the plane of buddhi.
Electrical color - the mental plane.MAN
Electrical vibration - buddhic plane.
We need to remember here that we were earlier dealing with the Logos, and with the Heavenly Men as incorporate parts of His body of manifestation. In the tabulation above given we are dealing with each separately, and it should be observed that the manifestation of the groups of causal bodies on the mental plane is the color manifestation of a Heavenly Man and His lowest point of objectivity. In man his lowest point of objectivity is the fifth subplane of the physical plane, as the liquid and the dense subplanes are not counted as principles any more than the cosmic liquid and dense (the astral and the systemic physical planes) count with a Heavenly Man. [A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, pp. 331-332.]
Electrical light - the mental plane.
Electrical sound - the astral plane.
Electrical color - the physical plane.
Figure 6.

Figure 6 demonstrates the function of the AHIH formula in relation to the solar logos. It can be seen that His lowest physical expression (H
2) exists on the plane of Buddhi and that from there His influence extends into the lower three planes of our solar system. For the solar logos, His manifestation on the Buddhic plane stands in the same relative position as the etheric body does for Man the microcosm. To summarize this analogy the four lower planes correspond as follows:Buddhic plane = etheric body of Solar Logos
Mental plane = gaseous component of physical body of Solar Logos
Astral plane = liquid component of physical body of Solar Logos
Etheric/Physical plane = solid component of physical body of Solar Logos
The human arrangement of the AHIH formula is…
HUMAN Hierarchy
A (Spirit): Buddhic plane
H (Form): Astral plane
I (Consciousness): Mental plane
H
The basic structure of Figure 6 remains the same for all four creative beings - Human, Initiates, Planetary Logos, and Solar Logos, but the four planes assigned to the terms of the formula change in each case. The following diagram illustrates the special AHIH relationship that exists between the Solar Logos and Humanity.

There is a flow of 'conscious' creative energy that issues from yod (I) to the final ha (H
2) of AHIH2, and there is also a current of 'unconscious' evolutionary force (green dotted arrow) flowing from the initial ha (H) to the final ha. This latter current vivifies the form principle, pushing it ever onwards towards its natural perfection or completion. It is the 'force of Nature'. These two distinctly differing currents of universal force are described by the formulae IHVH and ADNI respectively and are examined in more detail elsewhere.Briefly, the creative influx from yod (I) works to consciously harness the form principle - to build the form into a shape envisioned by the creator. Both currents originate from the creative spirit of aleph (A) but travel in opposite directions around the AHIH circuit. (See
Figure 6.)In
Figure 7 you will notice that the aleph (A) of Humanity grows out of the final ha (H2) of the Solar Logos. This might explain part of qabalistic significance of the Hebrew spelling of the letter ha which is ha-aleph (HA). The Hebrew word ha means 'window' which is an opening that allows for the entry of 'air' (or 'ruach' - the breath/wind of spirit) into a 'house' (or physical abode). But notice also (by considering Table 1 below) that the full unfoldment of the final ha of the Solar Logos involves also the manifestation of the initial ha of the Planetary Logoi as well as the yod of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Initiates such that its full multi-layered expression is illustrated by Figure 8 below. For a planetary logos the AHIH formula appears thus:
PLANETARY LOGOS
A (Spirit): Monadic plane
H (Form): Buddhic plane
I (Consciousness): Atmic plane
H
Here we see the final conscious manifestation of a Heavenly Man, His 'physical' form, existing upon the mental plane. The membrane of 'cells' within His body through which He is 'physically' conscious (or aware) is in fact the ordered network of 'causal bodies', the golden lotuses, of us human-beings. (See article,
The Golden Lotus.)The human expression on the abstract mental plane, the golden lotus, is a cell belonging to one of the seven 'etheric' centres in the body of a planetary logos. The flow of these 'cells' within the cosmic etheric network - that is, between the chakras of a planetary logos, and between the planetary logoi of our and other solar systems, determines the physical system and planet into the sphere of which a human soul will incarnate.
A human-being therefore, has another ray quality to colour his personal expression - a soul ray. It pertains to the further subdivision of one of the seven planetary rays. Therefore, the picture so far looks like this:
Systemic Ray (applies to all beings): 2nd ray of love-wisdom
Planetary Ray (colouring human monad): One of seven rays
Group Ray (colouring human soul): One of 49 rays (7x7)
There are thus 49 major groups or ashrams within our solar system - each one presided over by a Master. They exist upon the Buddhic plane wherein the creative principle of Initiate Humanity is located (see below). Therein the initiates of the Spiritual Hierarchy are dedicated to the evolution of the 'matter' of the Mental plane - to the unfoldment of the souls (i.e. mental/causal bodies) of all human-beings. Which brings us to the AHIH formula in relation to Initiates:
SPIRITUAL Hierarchy (of Initiates)
A (Spirit): Atmic plane
H (Form): Mental plane
I (Consciousness): Buddhic plane
H2(Conscious Form): Astral plane
As regards an Initiate human-being, his creative consciousness is centred on the Buddhic plane, where he joins together with his fellows in the work of planetary/human evolution. It is towards this unified planetary evolutionary purpose that his individual creative energies are directed. This is to be understood in terms of the overlapping of the Initiate's AHIH by the overshadowing planetary AHIH.
It will be noticed that the evolutionary activity of the planetary 'initial ha' (H) overlaps (and therefore, guides) the creative energies of the Initiate's yod (I). Both currents emanate from the Buddhic (4th) plane but one is of a higher order than the other. The lesser (i.e. yod of Initiate Humanity) falls under the dominion of the greater (i.e. initial ha of planetary logos). Here, indeed, is much food for deep and prolonged meditation! (See Table 1.)

Key
:A (aleph) = Synthesising Spirit (Spiritual purpose)
H (ha) = Intelligent Form (Evolutionary activity)
I (yod) = Creative Consciousness (Creative force)
H2 (final ha) = Physical Awareness & Expression
To end on a less complicated note, it can be seen in the AHIH formula for Initiate Humanity that he has released himself from the Etheric/physical plane and now finds his 'physical' awareness (H2) focussed on the Astral plane (plane VI). This is symbolic of a necessary shift that we are all required to eventually make as we each individually pass through the first three initiations.
With regard to the Initiation process it can be seen (by looking at Table 1) that there is also a shift in the focus of our creative energy (I, yod) - a movement from the Mental plane to the Buddhic (or intuitional) plane. The fourth, or Buddhic plane is of great significance in our universe because it is the plane of at-one-ment wherein all four creators meet in communion and cooperation; wherein a direct channel of communication exists from the lowest (i.e. Average Man) to the highest (i.e. Solar Logos); and where the energy of love-wisdom (i.e. the Christ-force) permeates all. (See Table 1 and Figure 8.)
