 The Lap Pool on Star Princess

Cradled and well protected from the wind by Lotus Spa, the Lap Pool and surrounding deck area renews the Spa's Japanese theme décor with its statuary, art, and wall coverings. Adjacent lounge chairs are unique to this area with their brown tatami like covering and hard, unyielding appearance. They are, in fact, very comfortable, possibly the most so of any on the ship.
Access to the pool area is gained through the Lotus Spa or, from the Sports deck above. The deck area near the aft end of the pool is tiered, similarly to that of the Terrace Pool at the ships opposite end with benches perfect for laying down taking in the sun.
 The noted feature of the Lap Pool, naturally, is the pump-produced water current against which swimmers struggle to remain in place. The current's force is variable, controlled by a knob adjusted to the personal abilities of the swimmer working against it. Provided he is a strong enough swimmer to buck the current to reach it!
Two hot tubs flank the forward edge of the pool.
Primarily, the Lap Pool is an adult area. Adult supervised children are permitted to use it between the hours of noon and 3 PM.
