Sabatini's is the second and more expensive of the extra cost alternate restaurants on Star Princess charging $15.00 per person as of my sailing in 2002.  This, although far from nominal, is less costly than similar extra cost experiences on some other lines, notably where the price has escalated to $25.  With passengers continuing, willingly, to pay these higher prices, it is only a matter of time until Princess joins ranks with the $25 dollar price and enticing the others to raise the bar once more!  At least nobody any longer is making any pretense about the fees going towards paying the "gratuity".    These restaurants are profit centers, pure and simple!

Sabitini's is located just off of the inside promenade connecting the Atrium at mid ship with the Vista Show lounge, aft.  Once again, this intimate 90-seat restaurant is nicely decorated with wrought iron and marble accents.  Trompe L'oeil paintings provide "windows" into the artist's imaginations, making it appear is if the patrons are peering past the columns to the scenery beyond.   Princess continues to operate Sabitini's similarly to land based restaurants issuing individual reservation times and not seating everyone simultaneously at one of two times.  According to management, reservations are required, but I think the odds good that if you happen just to stop by, you will receive a table without too much delay.


On sea days, Sabatini's is open for lunch and dinner; port days, for dinner only.

On Sea Days Sabitini's is open for Brunch from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.  Dinner is served daily from 6:00 pm until Midnight.  Princess claims reservations are a necessity for dinner, but, if you happen to drop by, I suspect you will be seated.  Do not forget though, there is a very steep surcharge for dining here, which, by the time you read this, it could be even steeper.
