The AOL Internet Cafe on Star Princess

A PARNAMI Cruise Page

Walking aft from the Princess Theater, passengers come across the AOL Internet Café on Star Princess' port side.  Twenty-five computer stations, each with flat screen displays and separated with privacy dividers provide almost instantaneous links with home and the rest of the World.  Each Station is wired with a camera for sending digital postcards to jealous family and friends.

The Café is open 24 hours a day, even when in port and provides speedy satellite connections for a reasonable, (well, reasonable when compared to what other Lines charge) Fifty Cents per minute.  Additionally, for frequent Princess cruisers who have accumulated over five past cruises with the Line, a recently added benefit provides FREE Internet access!

Due to demand, Princess altered the deck plans on Golden and on Star Princess compared to that of the original Grand Princess to provide for increased numbers of computer terminals.   Doing so entailed relocating the Wedding Chapel, and expanding the area allocated for the internet Cafe into that space.  This is one of the few differences between Grand and her slightly newer sisters.

Unlike as on ships of some other lines, passengers using Princess AOL café have FULL access to the AOL on line facility, including message boards and Chats!  Stop in to AOL's Cruise Café [keyword: cruisecafe] and tell us about your cruise!

NOTE Princess, apparently, since this report was written, has discontinued its relationship with AOL and thus, it is no longer possible to connect to AOL on board ship.  Passengers can still check email and have access to the internet, but access to proprietary AOL features is blocked.
