The 180 Mini suites on Star Princess measure in at a comfortably sized 325 square feet (including the balcony). Distinctly defined although not physically segregated are the bedroom and sitting areas. Two 20-inch TV's, situated on side-by-side shelves are each aimed towards one of the two areas. However nice the touch may be, their close proximity to each other makes watching two distinct channels impossible.

Bedrooms provide for the now normal twin beds, able to be joined together to form a seamless king sized. Night tables with lamps frame the bed (s) along with a mid placed master cabin lamp panel controlling main cabin and foyer lighting.

Helping to separate the two spaces are the vanity and bar areas. Vanities provide drawer space, make up mirror and hair dryers. The bar, regrettably, no longer stocked by Princess, is marble topped and contains the refrigerator along with additional shelving space for storage.

The sitting area is adjacent to the verandah, thus providing its users views of the passing scenery. A full sized couch and chair surround the glass-topped cocktail table. Stepping out, beyond the sliding glass door is the verandah. Falling in size between the smallest and the largest of those provided standard verandah cabins, Verandah space for mini suites, with few exceptions, completely, is exposed to the elements and to views of passengers above. Only 12 mini suites located on Emerald deck are exempt, and completely sheltered.

The photo above indicates the relationships of the verandahs on Dolphin and on Caribe decks, looking down from Lido deck. Dolphin deck contains the mini suites; Caribe the standard verandah cabins. Note that while the photo shows the entire verandah for Dolphin deck, it shows only half of it for Caribe deck, the other half being sheltered and out of view from prying eyes above.

In a move I consider to be taken in error, Princess no longer provides butler service to any level of accommodation!
