+++++++ Order Vampiris +++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Militant arm of the order Malleus primarily concerned with the threat of the specific Daemonic threat from Vampiric Entities. These have been catagorised into seceral different forms. After all, there are many different forms of evil to fight. In the past few months away, I have collated vast masses of research upon Vampires, their habits, and how to destroy them. The initial report which hastened my decision to creat the Order Vampiris was found to be most true. However dark have been the days of the Order Vampiris of late. The loss of Inquisitors Von Gellrit, Yvarion and Tythis to the vampire threat during the initial few weeks of the Order Vampiris' life were disastrous. The loss of authority of Inquisitor Mentirius, co-Founder and co-Lord of the Order, to the Nexis schism was a tradgedy most great, although I am happy to report than in recent months the former Inquisitor has shouldered upon himself the task of redemption, a task most heavy in weight and necessity, and I hope he will resume his position when he returns. In these losses I list only the names familiar to me. I dread to think the losses incurred through the vampire threat - the lives and souls lost to their great a terrible blood thirst. 1. Daemonic The daemonic Vampire in essence, is a very stable form of daemohost. The vampiric daemon takes control of the human host by literally sucking out the soul of the target, and inferring a piece of its own, which then grows inside the host. (Note - The human genetic defect known as the [CENSORED, INQUISITOR EDICT public\ref\Par\] are also sucseptable to infection by the daemonic form of vampire.) It is essentially a parasite. These vampires are the most common kind, and are therefore the easiest to contain and destroy. They suffer from many weaknesses associated with normal daemons, and so are eradicated just as easily. Threat Rating - Beta:Low 2. Virus Vampirism can also be transferred through a disease. It exists within the blood stream of the vampire. It needs fresh blood almost constantly, and so these vampires are amongst the most bllodthirsty. The peculiar thing about these vampires is that the virus does not assail all targets, it does in fact search only for certain genetic make-ups, of which an example can be found at this reference point : Ref:\OrderVampiris\Research\HumanSub3485 It can be clearly seen that the virus only interacts with the gene that makes men into psychotic sociopaths. This coupled with the Vampiric gifts and boons means that a Virus form Vampire is often a very dangerous opponent, but it does have limitations. The need to feed extremely regularly due to an excessively high metabolism means they can be tracked easily. The great strength of this form of Vampire is that they do not suffer from all of the great weaknesses that a daemonic vampire will suffer from. Excessive physical damage is all that will eventually bring down a V-Type Vampire. Threat Rating : Alpha:Medium 3. Pure Blood Vampires These are the most deadly and rare of all vampires. Essentially human, they have become debased and mutated at the genetic level, and are a danger most great. They have none of weaknesses of the other two kinds, and are resililient to almost all physical, psychic, biological and chemical damage. But, since they are a creature most unholy, they are very vulnerable to the holy light of the Emperor's granted gift of sunlight, and also to the cleansing presence of flame. Other than this, these vampires are extremely hard opponents to overcome. They qill quite often be in positions of real power, using mortals as puppets for their patient and malevolent schemes. They are often surrounded by great warriors, bodyguards and hosts of Imperial Guardsmen. These vampires are to be considered a priority target for all members of Order Vampiris and Ordo Malleus, and should be exterminated at any cost. Threat Rating : Alpha1:Highest The future of the Order is in no doubt in my mind. The Order has conducted much research into both the nature of Daemons, and Vampires. The research findings have yielded many results and useful information which has then been made available to the Inquisition at large. My fear is that certain individuals have used this information for their own benefit and gain. The Order now is recruiting the best and most talented members of the Inquisition to help in our quest against the Vampiric and Daemonic threat - after all, the Order is a militant arm of the Ordo Malleus, and so will not forget its roots. The Order has massive resources available to any Inquisitor wishing to join, gained through the enormous generosity of certain contacts I have made in my many years in the Inquisition. The Eye of Terror is opening, and so the main focus of the Order will be moving away from the the Vampire, and to the Eye. I myself will be away for the forseeable future, with Mentirius on his voyage of redemption. I hope I can guide my friend wisely throught the times ahead. My apprentice Junious has now struck out on his own, and will, I am sure, be a very seniour member of the Order and of the Inquisition. I hope this brief report has covered the basics of the goings on of the Order Vampiris. In the future I hope to be able to enlighten some of my esteemed colleagues with laboratory reports as well as action reports on the Vampiric threat.
