Buying Stuff
In order to use this you need to have a price list for weapons that cost 10 or more credits.
If you wish to buy a group of common objects, you must say what they are and then negotiate a price. Take a nerve and leadership test and add the amounts you pass by together (failure will give a negative number).
Divide this number by 10, and round to a whole number.
Take this number from the base cost of the equipment.
Example 1: Nicki finds the shotgun she was looking for. She haggles with the trader but fails to impress him or keep her nerve. Nicki fails her leadership test by 15 (-15) and her nerve test by 22 (-22). –15 + -22 = -37. -37/10 = -4 (to the nearest whole number)
The shotgun costs 20credits so to her it will cost 20 - -4 = 24credits.
Example 2: Jim finds the Medi-pak he was after. He impresses the trader and keeps his cool in the bargaining session. He passes his Ld test by 13 (+13) and his Nv by 12 (+12). 13 + 12 = 25. 25/10 =3 (to the nearest whole number)
The medi-pak costs him 50credits so to him it will cost him 50 – 3 = 47credits
