Inquisitor Orion studied as an acolyte in his early years under the respected Witch Hunter Faunas. Although by the time he was elevated to Inquisitor he had decided not to follow his masters way of being a Puritan Mondominant.
This was especially due to the fact that Orion had psychic powers and his master had shown no concern of hiding his feelings that he hated being near Orion who in his opinion was a Heretic. Fauna also took great delight in taking credit for Orion's work and punishing him for almost anything.

The only reason Orion wasn't burned at the stake was because he was a fellow Inquisitor. After he gained Inquisitor rank he promised himself he would have revenge. Orion found his ideals although frowned upon by most other factions suited comfortably with the radical faction of the Recongregators and found that the Ordo Hereticus were his best-suited comrades in the fight against chaos.

A decade after his ascension to Inquisitor rank, after he had taken part in many cases and purges, he came across a very skilled rogue techpriest who followed the same beliefs as Orion himself,. His brothers Techpriests had found Magos McKissock heretical due to his belief that xenos technology could be used to further the Empire of humanity.

Orion quickly inducted him into his band of warriors who only so far consisted of Orion. The magos proved to be useful and turned an old stubber Orion had given him as a weapon into a beautiful weapon with incorporated shot selector. He also proved useful on many cases where alien technology was being used.

Although Orion and McKissock were doing well, it was getting a little obvious they were lacking firepower. It was about this time that Orion came across another outlaw and ally, this time in the form of a Tanith deserter. Gibby or Gunner Gibby as he was known had been a member of the Tanith First and Only under the command of Colonel Commissar Ibram Gaunt. He had deserted during one of the many battles for Veyveyr gate during the battle for Vervunhive. When his unit was destroyed leaving him and his wounded sergeant he put a las shot through the sergeant's head and escaped into the wild were he found hidden in an abandoned private airfield a gun cutter.

Knowing how to fly cutters from his old days when he had run commercial cutters from Tanith Magna to waiting starships, he checked it over, strapped himself in and blasted away to Kisser Fractorius in Segmentum Pacifius, which is scarcely populated.

On the way he bought a ride on the Starship Divine Presence. Upon reaching the planet he started hiring out his skills as a bounty hunter, for the right price he could have killed the planets governor. It was then that he was discovered and bribed to take the pay and work for Inquisitor Orion. Gibby always shows unswerving loyalty to Orion and even gave the Inquisitor the Gun cutter as his personal transport since he respects and fears the Inquisitor for his ruthlessness.

Now we get to the revenge, this had been long planned. Orion had come into possession of a copy of the “Book of Horus", an extremely heretical book said to have been written by the cursed by Primarch himself, he had got it by stealing it from another Inquisitor, he then planted the book in Fauna's possession and added evidence-linking Fauna to a mass massacre on Hidalgo Byzantine committed by a chaos cult, he made it look like Fauna had ordered this mass cull of the populace.

Using this evidence he convinced a cell of three other inquisitors to declare Witch hunter Fauna Hereticus and hunted him down. As his capture it was up to him for decided punishment. He'd planned this long ago, the distinguished Witch Hunter disappeared and the Archo- Flaggelant Fauna 2584 was born. Inquisitor Orion now realised he had the opportunity to get himself a permanent transport, by transporting Gibby the captain of Divine Presence had committed an act of crime, transporting a deserter, he could be shot.

Orion brought this to Captain Shoetree's attention who immediately offered his services though didn't denounce himself. Captain Shoetrees is a tall longhaired man, with fighting prowess and skill to rival a trainee Space Marine. During a battle involving the captain, Inquisitor Orion and Magos Mckissock and a couple of dozen traitor imperial guard aided by a Daemon host of a Khornate champion, the captain held of ten traitors while Orion fought the host eventually defeating it and banishing it into his sword.

Although as the daemon was bound to the sword, the daemon bound the sword to the Inquisitor and now Orion cannot let go of the sword without feeling a surge of pain. The Inquisitor later on in the same campaign to cleanse a planet of traitor guardsmen bound a Tzeentch prince to one of the Guardsmen to ensnare his own Daemon host.

After the campaign was finished Orion interrogated the Daemonhost and found out its name Lustrian, it now fights and helps foil chaos plans though it and Kasalach have a bitter resentment for each other. Being of different patron gods. Lustrian has tried on many attempts to kill Inquisitor Orion or a member of his band, though has failed every time as Orion has placed bindings on it so as it can only fight when a word is muttered by Orion but can never attack Orion or his band unless ordered by the Inquisitor.

A decade later Orion still has this band of followers along with quite few others, including a squad of six imperial guard veterans all that are left from a company which has been whittled down from what it was five years past when Orion demanded it to launch an attack against a strong chaos sect, which he had been shown by Lustrian.

Five members of the cult 'The Creeping Shadow' a cult dedicated to strengthening mankind through the fear of what could be just around the corner. Mass murder, assassination and poisoning are not below them as they see mankind prey to stronger races if they are not paranoid and ready for anything. The five members are, Magus Maspeth, Cultists Harrah & Selkift and the cults two best assassins Phoenix and Mahisha, twin sisters quicker with blades than most people are at blinking.

This cult is pledged to Orion after he helped them take down a corrupt governor, who was committing genocide among the coloured of the population, one of which had been the head of the cult. Had the cult attacked by themselves not even the twins could have hoped to survive, but the Inquisitor seeing them as a valuable resource used his power and within a week the racist governor and his weal government where gone and in place was a stronger government especially due to the fact they feared assassination for being weak.

A month after this episode in his life and two years before present day while watching a chrono-gladiator match he noticed a particularly violent gladiator who no matter how many opponents united against him never backed down and was never beaten, one moment he would be standing stock still holding his glaive by his side and the next he would be in the middle of opponents decapitating and killing, while wearing a smile of pure enjoyment.

Seeing that this gladiator possibly possessed the same ruthlessness as himself, Orion paid a trip to the stadium that night and using his Inquisitorial status he was granted entrance to speak to the owner and gladiator, when asked what he would do to the owner whom had turned him into this killing machine the gladiator who's name was Joe Pineapples simply replied that he would “rip out his heart and make him eat it".

This answer satisfied the Inquisitor, and as he regarded the owner as weak for standing trembling beside him while the gladiator was that close, he ordered the gladiator to do as he had just said he wished to. After Joe had finished the two made for the waiting gun cutter stopping only to allow Joe to retrieve his glaive from the weapons store. They then made for the Divine Presence where Joe Pineapples pledged his allegiance to Orion, who the had Magos McKissock stop the clock slowly ticking down to Joe's life expired.

The twins, Joe and Gibby instantly got on well since all four had the same relish for killing, something which Magus Maspeth has been unsuccessfully trying to temper down within the four. While this has been happening Orion has been working with the Guardsmen under the command of Major Nilsson training especially with private Marci who is a Pariah and sniper Johnson, and the Daemon host Lustrian to develop his own psychic powers.

The most recent campaign that has seen Orion play a hand in is the purge of Ethos Maoris where a large chaos cult rumoured to have been set up by the Black Legion, have been terrorising and taking over large portions of the planet, more secretly rumoured is that the Governor is facilitating this cult.
