Driven by: the search for the chaos magus Wearichoal, who took Zack's eye and arm.

Failings: Defeat by Magus Wearichoal at the worlds of Csara Domis, Hamek VII and Oslek Prime. Had to order Exterminatus on Oslek Prime.

History:
He is driven by the obsession of finding Wearichoal and this wish is so strong that he sometimes is blinded to everything else. After the initial training by Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Ardan Haigh he went to search for the Tome of Blood, a book of Chaos magic.

Upon searching for a decade he discovered it's location and ran into Wearichoal for the first time when the magus was comming for the same thing. This clash left the young Inquisitor's eye with a needle into it and it was exchanged with a new bionic one afterwards.

He then became obsessed with finding the chaotic, having learnt his name simply by hearing Wearchoal say that he would see Zack through. They met again on the world of Hamek VII where the magus mighty powerclaw tore off Zack's arm. The hatred towards the magus grew even greater after Zack learnt that it had been he who had destroyed Zack's homeworld, Duantris, 27 years ago.

Now, Zacharias Dmitri searches the galaxy for the chaos magus taking care of every heretic, alien or deamon he encounters on the way. He belongs to no Ordo and has over the years been going from the Amalathic to the Xantithe belief seeing what advantages can be gained trough the use of the warp.

The daemon sword Aranel was a deamon possessing and corrupting all authorities in the subsystem Pilatus. After banishing it was possible for Zack to bind it to his weapon and it now serves the Inquisitor faithfully.
