There is this child who was on a planet attacked by the tyranids... His whole family were in the Military and he watched them get killed one by one. He escaped the planet on a Rogu traders ship and spent the next 20 years traveling space with him. The child grew up angry with the Imperium for not defending his home and letting his family die.

He believed the Imperium should fight smarter, not harder and that even the Imperiums prized Space Marines were a waste of resources. He began developing a concept for a way to have disposable warriors, but still keep the consciousness of the warrior intact so as not to lose valuable experience.

Over the years, he traveled, gathering and studying alien technologies of all sorts. He studied Ork Bioniks and how they were simple yet effective. He examined many Spryers and other black market Tau technology and learned how to intergrate weaponry into a persons nervous system and have it work as one with the wearer. He even studied many of the Imperiums technologies to see how to develop better weapons.

After a lifetime of research and trial and error, he had developed a 'battle ready' Android system that could be equipped with a huge array of different weaponry. They were cheap to build (compared to space marines and other imperial armories) and could be fitted with all sorts of equipment. The only problem was he was unable to ever perfect an Artificial intelligence able to be as effective as a human in battle.

So the Androids were built to map the neural net of a human and download them into the Android. Once done, the human's body would die, but the human would then have a completely Android body to replace it. The best part was if the Android was destroyed... the Consciousness was then sent back to a master computer where it could be reloaded into a new body.

He dare not show his technology to the Imperium until he had proven it... So he needed volunteers. He went to a Hive City on Hexon 6 and recruited a bunch of hive gangers. In exchange for the Doc doing experiments on them, they received awesome weapons and powerful bodies which they could harass other gangs and commit random acts of thuggery.

So I would have this decrepit old man character who whacks people with a cane and a bunch of gangers that have crazy weapons that would fit Spryers and such. The Android bodies would act very similar to regular humans and the stats would be that of probably the I guard veteran. (probably more or less depending on the character) They would be effected by psychic powers because the Android bodies would have a warp presence because of the gangers brain activity. The Android bodies do not fall 'unconcious' because the doc has rigged them to 'self destruct' if incapacitated so not to be captured or have proof. The ganger is downloaded and if in a campaign must wait D6 games before the doc can rebuild him.

The goal of the band is for the doc to test his creations and he sends them out on missions to test the effectiveness of the Android enhancements. As I make more gangers, his army gets more selection and more power... (just an excuse for me to convert up cool models)
