People in Europe became more aware of the art and philosophy
of the ancient world during the Renaissance period around 1500
(the word 'Renaissance' means 'rebirth'). Documents rescued after
the fall of Constantinople in 1453 introduced people to ideas
from before the Middle ages. And although Europe remained Christian
the Pagan gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece jostled with the
patron saints of Christianity on public monument, and classical
philosophy began to change the way people thought about ethics
and morality.
As well as it did in the past, mythologies inspire many artists
today also to create on many different fields of their self-expression

wether it be visual arts or music.
The perceptions of original pagan art though has been very nicely
expressed by Robin Herne: The Pagan faiths generally see the physical
world as an artistic creation of the Gods. While different Pagan
denominations favour different art styles, all see the act of
creation and self-expression as a means of honouring the world
of spirit.Magic --the notion of harnessing spiritual forces to
achieve changes in both the mind and the material world -- is
central to Paganism. For practically all Pagan cultures art can
be a form of magic, a way of weaving spiritual energies into easily
perceived forms.
