Image 5-2: Outer driving end of 43078 with it's nose just below the the pre-cast concrete footbridge that replaced the original LSWR structure in the early 1970s.
Image 5-3: 5WES `plastic pig' passing Poole sidings on Down line on it's way Westward to Weymouth. You can also see the line speed limit sign, facing point connection from the Up mainline into the sidings, and overhead lighting that is designed so that the lamp units can be lowered for bulb replacement by winding them down with two small winch mechanisms on each pole, the winch can be seen near the foot of the supporting pole.
