The new Swanage signalbox is built as an 1880s LSWR signal box. The signalbox has taken a dedicated team of volunteers five years to complete and won the Westinghouse Signalling Award in the 2002 National Railway Heritage Awards.
Swanage signalbox passed its inspection on 28th January 2003 and is now in daily use controlling all movements at Swanage.
