The history of modern olympics through philately
WHAT'S THIS PAGE ABOUT?
For the last few years I have been diving into the world of temathic philately, being modern summer olympic games the main focus of my efforts. Since I firts got into the net, I have tried (without many results) to find web pages related to my collecting topic and people with a similar philatellic interest to trade with, but, to tell the truth, the results have been quite poor. This is the main reason why I decided to face up my lack of knowledge in "web building" and started to work into this humble page, which only aim is to offer you news, listings, contacts and other information that might be of any help if you are also interested into this collecting topic.
OLYMPIC GAMES NEW ISSUES
One of the first points where I will apply is informing the collectors about the new summer olympic related issues that might be edited worldwide. Your cooperation is the clue in this section so please let me know if you know of any olympic related issue! In the future I also plan to expand this section to winter games so any info will also be welcome!
THE OLYMPIC PHILATELY MAILING LIST
An idea I got was to create some sort of email based mailing list concerning the olympic temathic philately. This service, of course free, can be requested by filling and submitting the "for fields" you will find at the end of this page.
Which are the informations that would be mailed to you by joining this list? It's difficult to say as basically the main idea is that everyone can drop on it any info concerning our collecting topical that might be considered of interest for collectors. New issues, offers, ocassional sales of collections, specialized press articles, news.... I will personally review all mails before they will be sent to list subscribers, so no spam mail or commercials will invide your mail box!
