CZ 52 OVERTRAVEL TRIGGER MODIFICATION
By Lars................................................................

Note the taphole wants to be tapped from the outside as the slot will interfere with the 6-32 tap when threading it from inside on top of the trigger,Remember to use a smaller diameter drill bit for the pilot hole then use the correct number drill bit to make the next and final hole,A #36 i think bit will do,Drill the pilot hole from the top between the slots in the center,Then the last main hole from the lower outside of the trigger,Mine was just under 1\8" of an inch so i had a good bite on threading it with the tap,You can tap from the Outside safely though as the teeth will cut the other side slot walls. In the next picture you will see the  trigger and how the screw adjust for overtravel will sit in the cutout. So you can better understand how it looks and works when done.

In this picture you see how the adjust screw sits, I shouldve moved the pilot hole back to be where the black line is so it wouldnt interfere with the trigger spring ,But I bent my spring a bit and it works so until  I get another trigger to correct my mistake please use the black line as a guide on that exact angle for yours,It will not interfere with the spring and theyre will be more meat to hold threads as well when done.Depending on the cutout in the frame you may want to adjust the angle to your needs so it does not  block the forward travel.Again I recomend not doing this if you are not proficient with tools and smithing,  But to print the page and have a qaulified smith do it for you.,I now have a pistol that has no more over travel than 1/16th of an inch after the hammer falls which will give me A better feel as i'm       acustommed to with my trigger adjust for over travel and this I find gives me a better follow thru on my shots as well.always have at the least 1\16" of an inch over travel and use a hardened screw in the trigger,You must also round the surface top of the screw as well for a better fit.The softer type screws can bend under repeated use. When the trigger is finally adjusted then back the screw out counting turns and add some Loctite on the threads then readjust it so it will not loosen up on you while shooting.
