for the bolt now with cleaning tips and maintenance........
:
they make a speedlock kit nowadays but i havent tried it yet.i believe its just a stronger spring for faster ignition time on the pin.what i did was to disassemble my bolt, smooth down the shaft under the firing pin  spring with oil and 600 grit wet or dry emery paper,it helped alot to reduce the friction on the spring with that rough  finished surface,to take it apart first cock the hammer and put the safety straight up just push in  the small silver stop on the bolts hammer housing on the left side, now unscrew the head from the  bolt body,in one hand grasp the head, in the other the hammer and flip the safety to the left(off), now see the silver ferrule by the firing pin ? put the hammer on the table so the pin is straight up,pull the silver ferrule down towards the hammer, now slide the firing pin out and the spring off,you now can polish the shaft the spring rides on,this will speed lock time travel considerably.now you can take the hammer and shaft out and mount it between some leather in a machine vise to polish it and clean the bolt housing afterwards.to clean the bolt housing : take a 22 bore brush ,soak it good in hoppes and get down in the firing pin channel, scrub like hell, change  brush to a 40-45 cal brush,do same, scrub like hell.now take some ether, step outside and spray it clean.in and out.take a light patch on a 22 loop and dose the innards good but dont drown it.reverse to assemble ,also remember to pull the cocking piece back and flip the safety straight up so you can thread it in the bolt housing. when assmbling be carefull to start the threads right, look funny?nope theyre acme threaded.once  done your bolts ok for a years service of shooting save a wipedown after each outing with  it.good luc
