1'st clear weapon of magazine,check for unloaded chamber.then put hammer at full cock safety off.Now push in on the recoil spring plug then turn the barrel bushing counter clockwise and out,watch that plug dont go flying too.i use a pin drift to push in the plug. |

2nd step is now to push down on the chamber with your thumb and that will unlock the lugs from the slide,then push the slide back to get the slide release in position as shown below,then from right side push the slide release pin out and remove the slide release alltogether.then push slide forward and off completely from the frame,the guide rod will fall out then pull the barrel straight out of the front of the slide. |

3rd now that you have that done we can take the rest of the pistol down bit by bit in the orders following.remove the grips now . |

4rth now unscrew the pin in the mainspring housing and push it thru,then lift it out,also remove the trigger/disconnector/sear spring out.now hammer back,safety up push from the right side out left and remove it and the hammer and strut.jiggle the safety up a bit and it should come out with no probs at all.it goes in the same way as taking it out as well.next will be the sear and disconnecter. |

5th now push the sear/disconnecter pin out from right to left.on Llamas it is a flanged pin on one side to prevent drifting out.remember that the lower flat end of the disconnecter hits the trigger yoke and the sear position as well ,the pin has to go thru both as a mated pair when reassembling the lower frame again so take a pen and make notes. |

6th take a small screwdriver ,now push in on the mag release so its up about 1\16th" or so and turn the screw slot to the left,you have to feel for the slot like a colts,once its over all the way 1\4th of a turn you just simply push it up and out. |

7th, now just pull the trigger right out thru the back of the grip handle ,you will see the slots it rides in.you can now completely clean the frame out with a good degreaser spray and then remove any rough edges or reblue any rust spots etc you choose,see the tips page on the main page next while you have the pistol apart for maintenance and other stuff to improve the feel on the trigger pull |
