The Wilfrid Bog Issue
Update On Events In July

July 15, 1999

Access to the property was noted. Township was called and it was explained that Pefferlaw Peat Products had sought application for access to the property. At the time access had not been granted but a 'temporary' access had been placed there, pending approval. It was noted that the culvert size under the access through was too small (12") for the ditch which at the time of the observation was filled with water 3 ft across of water, approximately 2' deep. Peat had already started settling within the pipe. No action was taken at this time.

July 28, 1999

Pefferlaw Peat Products entered the property with a peat grader and began to remove the top layer, leaving the peat soils exposed.
