for rudeness - The Logo CollectionI applied for their free logo service. Their home page is very demanding with lots of rules and shouting (you WILL do this or we WON'T do this), but what the hell, I'm not that easily offended. I followed all the rules - put their logo on the index page of both of my sites, this one and my genealogy pages. I waited a month. No reply, nothing. I wrote to tell them that I was removing their logo, and that I thought it was just a way to get free advertising for their site. You should read the reply I got! Told me that the logos were not there (not true) and that they contacted me about it (maybe 1 email went astray, but 2?), that I shouldn't bother them if I can't read and understand instructions. Doesn't it frustrate you too when you know you did something and someone outright tells you that you are a liar?
What is it here lately? Everyone seems to be on anti-depressants these days. I run into people I know that act like zombies. When I ask what's wrong, they say "oh, I'm taking medication to correct a chemical imbalance in my brain". Anti-depressants. Okay, here's my question: if these drugs correct the "inbalance" then why don't these people then seem normal, because, after all, the problem has been corrected? Instead they seem like they've undergone a mind-wipe. Doesn't make much sense to me. I'm not saying the drugs don't have their place in medicine, just that they are way over-prescribed and seem to do many people more harm than good.
It's a scam!!! These cigarettes are advertised all over the internet: Cigarettes for $11.95/carton. Watch out, after you order them they will call you and request more money in order to fill your order. Mine went up to $14.95 per carton. I cancelled the order, but they cashed the check before I contacted the bank to make a stop-payment. It has now been 3 months - they don't answer their telephone personally or return the messages left.....
When my computer locks up and must be turned off manually I really don't like it. But what makes it WORSE is that stupid Scan-Disk message: "To avoid seeing this message again, use the shut down button" or something like that. Doesn't it think we have any brains at all?? Why doesn't it say: "I'm sorry I locked up on you and caused you so much trouble. I'll scan your disk for errors immediately. Please forgive me" Now, wouldn't that be much better. ever lied to the American people, he should resign." Why didn't he just say: "Yes, I had sex but I didn't have an orgasm" ? I'll tell you what I don't understand - how everyone on TV seems to get sidetracked from the whole issue. It's the fact that he lied under oath, not that he had "sex" with someone other than his wife.
The nerve of these people! They (Martha Stewart Living) sent my mother a "free" copy of their magazine (I guess they got the name from a mailing list - she didn't ask for it) and now they're sending her bills telling her she "forgot" them. Conveniently there isn't a phone number anywhere on the bill, only an address. She wrote them a letter, telling them she didn't want the magazine but she is still getting bills, each one a little more demanding than the 1st one. Is this just a ploy for elderly people (thinking they indeed "forgot") or is this happening to everyone? It's disgraceful!!
Yes I know, sometimes foreign products are cheaper. But we need to make an effort to support our own economy and workers. America is one is the very few countries that allows unlimited imports, and we Americans don't always stop to think that a cheaper price at the moment is not always the best in the long-run. Recently I saw a Union IronWorker sticker on a pickup on the freeway in California. When I got up beside them I had to yell out the window though - the pickup was Japanese! Come on Americans, use some common sense!!
The Internet is a wonderful thing. Where else can anyone who wants to publish their thoughts for all the world to see? The Government is passing more & more laws in an effort to control the internet. They use the excuse that they are protecting the children, that way most people do not question their legislation. Parents don't take their kids down to skid-row and turn them loose to explore; the same is true of the internet - parents have many ways to control what their children are exposed to on-line. I don't care for all the subjects out there either, but everyone should have the freedom to express it. For more info, go here.
If you are ever injured on the job, the workman's comp insurance company will use all your non-injury related medical records against you, claiming the injury came from the abuse. They will cut off your medical care, etc, & on top of that they threaten to sue you for fraud! Unless, of course, you drop the case. Yet another reason to leave the sorry bastard now!! What's legal and morally right are 2 different things nowdays. I would be ashamed to be in a profession that cannot and will not distinguish the difference.
This is one of our nation's disgraces, not to mention horrors!! Before you buy veal again (or eat it at a restaurant - I found a lot of it in Las Vegas Casinos), visit this website - please. For saying my site was fine, but the title of my banner was "offensive". I have been noticing some of their other ads lately. They have a strange idea of what's offensive!
