Henry Binder Family
Henry Binder was the oldest son of Gottlieb and Elizabeth Binder (Gottlieb's first wife). Henry (60 years old at the time of the 1920 census) was married to Katherine (51 years old at the time of the 1920 census). There were three children living at home in 1920. The oldest, Katherine, was 21, Dorothy was 16 and William was 15. The census indicates that Henry was in real estate. The oldest daughter, Katherine, was a stenographer. There was also a son Henry, probably the oldest, and no longer at home at the time of the 1920 census.
Lottie Binder Witt's granddaughter Linda has a letter from William Binder to his brother Henry Binder, dated April 1901, which would have been shortly after the death of Gottlieb, wherein William asks if he could have his father's watch to remember him.
Linda also reports that their family were all Missouri Synod Lutherans. Linda also has some of Gottlieb's papers from Germany. She is unable to read the German text but was told they were German work papers.
