Gottlieb and Rosina Binder

Gottlieb Binder came to the U.S. from Wuerttemberg, Germany and became a naturalized citizen in Ohio in March 1857. Gottlieb is buried in Graceland Cemetery in Chicago. Gottlieb's first wife was Elizabeth, mother of seven children, four of whom survived to adulthood. Elizabeth died in 1871 and is buried in Wunders Cemetery in Chicago. Gottlieb's second wife was Rosina who was a native of Germany and came to Illinois around 1871 or '72. Gottlieb and Rosina had five children, three of whom survived to adulthood. William Frederick Binder is the oldest son of Gottlieb and Rosina. Rosina is buried in Wunders Cemetery in Chicago.

Heinrich Binder (born 6/5/1859, died 9/26/1935) married Katherine (born about 1869,
died 3/13/1951) (They were 60 and 51 years old at the time of the 1920 Census).
Henry and "Katie" are both buried in Graceland Cemetery.
Children: Henry Binder, Katherine Binder (born about 1899),
Dorothy Binder (born about 1904), William Binder (born about 1905)
(They were 21, 16 and 15 years old, respectively, at the time of the 1920 Census)

Arthur & Barbara), Fred Kruse (son Jim, wife Anne), (born 1898, died 1906)
Emma Binder (11/16/1866 - 1/14/1915, buried in
Graceland family plot) married Herman Weber

Another baby died at 6 weeks of age.

Also married a Kruse. Rose's husband worked at the Kruse Bakery and may
have been a brother to Ida's husband.
Sons: Bill, Fred (wife Eleanor, had a son Glenn) &
Kenneth Kruse (had a daughter Candace)
Married Ted Witt 1902. Ted died in 1964 at the age of 86. (Ted worked for
Western Electric and the family would have been on a boat taking employees
to a company picnic when it overturned in the Chicago River, trapping hundreds
underneath, if Lottie had not had a premonition about the disaster and refused
to let her family go.)
Daughter Evelyn Witt (married John Arndt and had daughter Linda and son John;
grandchildren Michael, Gale, Barbara, Jimmy and Kara and great grandchild
Katie)
Daughter Myrtle Witt (Christened 10/11/03) (married Edward Handschuh and had children Elaine, Eddy and Lois, grandchilden David, Daniel, Elizabeth, Joanne, Constance, Nancy, Mary, John and Rebecca)
