Oh!...Those songs that the lads keep spitting out....amazing stuff! What's your fav Oasis song/s and album/s?? I know its a hard choice and that most true fans like them all the same but which one is constantly going in your head? What makes that song so powerful? Send me your favs and a little description about why you like them and I'm going to make a list and put some of the better comments with each song! Thanx! My favorite Oasis songs are "Listen Up", "Cloudburst", "Slide Away", "Gas Panic" and "D'you know what I mean"....of course I LOVE them all but these are a few that really hit me because of the lyrics mostly....they are all a little "dark" so I think that goes along with my personality...I just like the eerie sounds that Noel's guitar makes. I'm not a scary person or anything.....I just think these songs are mysterious. Liam's voice on "Cloudburst" sounds so young and you can hear the difference in the older songs rather than the more recent "Gas Panic"...I don't have a whole lot to say really because the songs speak for themselves...just go listen to them back to back and you'll feel it.
Def. Maybe is My favorite Oasis album...Mainly because of "Slide away", "Supersonic", "Live forever"....all the classics....but let's not forget "Cigs and alcohol", "bring it on down" and "rock 'n' roll star"!
What an album "What's the story morning glory". "wonderwall", "don't look back in anger", champagne supernova"....the one's that made oasis big in the USA....but don't look over my fav song on the album "cast no shadow".
Be Here Now...begins with "D'you know what I mean" ends with "it's getting better man".....In between is lovely...."the girl in the dirty shirt", "Don't go away", "All around the world", "be here now"....good stuff man!
What can I say about the "Master plan"....all oasis b-sides are wonderful so that makes this whole album tops....Noel's acoustic songs are superb. "Talk tonight", "going nowhere" and "half the world away"....I really love "headshrinker" also because i think it's one of the fastest Oasis songs and it's fun to sing along with Liam.
"Standing on the shoulders of giants" is a more mature sound for Oasis with the help of andy bell and gem archer, Liam also writes "little james"....."Gas panic" is one of the best Oasis songs of all time in my opinion and Noel's couple "sunday morning call" and "where did it all go wrong" are brilliant.
"Familiar to millions" the wembly live album is amazing...Noel covers "helter skeltor" and "hey hey my my"...plus the classic songs are always great...I listen to this album a lot because I like to here Liam and Noel's smart remarks in between songs! |
