Saskatchewan Nursing Informatics Association (SNIA)

This newly formed organization is a Special Interest Group of the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association. The website serves to keep members informed of our activities and as a promotional tool to recruit new members. I am responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the site.

The Gwenna Moss Teaching & Learning Centre Site

I was responsible for co-design and co-development of this site. I was instrumental in the development of the "splash" page (index.html), the header and footer, the divider bars, all the navigation, the Pointer newsletter icon, the photos of the resource room and the map of the office location. I developed the search engine for our site and converted many of the text documents to PDF files. I also added links and instructions for downloading the Adobe Acrobat Reader and program. I maintained consistency of the site by ensuring that all the graphics included alternate text tags for users who prefer to browse with their graphics turned off. The site was specifically designed and tested to work in Netscape, Internet Explorer, and with a Mac or Windows operating system. The size of the site was 16 megabytes and 570 files. The site that is currently posted has been somewhat modified from the original version which I helped to co-design.

The University of Saskatchewan's Teaching Portfolio Website

The Teaching Portfolio Website was developed in response to anticipated changes in Standards and Promotion for faculty at the University of Saskatchewan. I was responsible for the entire design and development of this site, including the site map. The completed site was 504 kilobytes and 63 files. The site has recently gained recognition from Ryerson Polytechnic University and by the American Association of Higher Education. The site has been modified somewhat from the original version that I developed.
