That's me slap dap in the middle thar' with my father to my right and my mother on my left. Immediately to my mother's left are my sister-in-law, Elva, and my brother, Walter. The little girl between them is their eldest daughter and my niece, Alisha, who died of lung cancer in 1992 not quite two years after my brother also died of lung cancer; but, this is 1957 and a happier time for us all.

My brother and his family were then living in Eustis, a small town in central Florida not far from Orlando. It was before Disney World came and it was very quite and peaceful there. We, that is my parents and I, used to visit quite often; and, at least on one occasion we went to Silver Springs where this photo was taken.

Silver Springs is a very large natural limestone spring in central Florida where springs get very big as they do throughout the state.
