1. File Formats in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2

Here is a listing of all the file formats used in the games. The formats are organised according to the format of the data inside the file, not the file extension. For example, combat.bio (which describes the biography of a premade character), is of format type Raw text. This is because the contents of the file are simply raw text, which must follow certain rules (such as line length). Where particular files must follow certain rules, these files will be listed in the exceptions section.
