The Metro Music Connection is a Monthly E-zine that connects Musician's to Musician's and Listeners's to the Bands in the Washington, DC Metro Area. We feature local area talent that play live music in the Washington DC, Virginia and Maryland Areas. Our goal is to promote live musical interests of all types in the DC Metro Area.
So if it's jazz or blues, rock or hip hop, country, Latin, techno or folk music, we will have it here. The forum is a free forum that we encourage the local area talent to put to use for themselves...and best of all, This is a site that is run by Musician's just like YOU and For You!
So if the eight lane death strip has got you down from that commute home, or if you are just ready to Rock and Roll, Let us be your site of choice..Welcome to the Metro Music Connection.

CAPITOL ROCK is a comprehensive cultural history of Washington, D.C. rock
and roll. Focusing on the first twenty-five years (1951-1976) of rock music
in the nation's capital, author Mark Opsasnick skillfully combines overviews
of the city's flourishing nightclub and teen club scenes of the fifties,
sixties, and seventies with detailed coverage of local bands and musicians
including such greats as Lawrence and the Arabians, the Cherry People, the
Fallen Angels, Razz, DC Star, Link Wray, Roy Clark, Roy Buchanan, Jack
Casady, Danny Gatton, Punky Meadows, Nils Lofgren, and many others.

CAPITOL ROCK can be ordered directly from www.xlibris.com/capitolrock.html.

Rumor has it that Tom McNamara and Blake Gregory are putting together some music to take on the local road this fall.
Tom is a smooth accoustic guitarist with some down home blues licks and Blake plays the rhythm track along with the shared vocals duties of the two.
Looks like a debut coming for early fall/late summer of these two artists from Springfield, VA. Their accoustic duet should prove to be harmonious.
Catch Tom and Blake Coming soon to you!!!
