Seeing is believing. This engine
actually runs, and well too!!
George Fair is the
inventor/engineer/fabricator/builder of the R & S Performance one cylinder
flywheeler. The one half of a VW head, brake drum flywheel, end-to-end
double-length stock rod/VW piston, give it a Volkswagen image. George is
a regular at the R & S scrap metal barrel. Not only are there several
VW piece/parts on this engine, there are also "unconventional" pieces such
as the bicycle durailer cam drive chain tensioner, and the door hinge rocker
arm in the pic below. You can see why George is intentionally kept at a safe
distance away from our VW racing engines.

George has now finished another engine.
It is modeled after the Otto-Langen atmosphere
engine.To

scrap barrel at R & S Performance is down to slim pickings and the tentative
closing date for the county landfill has been extended to the year
2012.
